Spiritualized

Here's 'Broken Heart' off 'Ladies and Gentleman We Are Floating in Space", one of the best albums ever made in my opinion.

For those that don't know, Jason Pierce (who basically IS Spiritualized) used to go out with Kate Radley who was the keyboardist in his band. Unfortunately, when they toured with The Verve, she ran off with Richard Ashcroft. She's now married to him.

This song, and the whole album, was recorded in the aftermath of this with Kate still in the band.

It's a masterpiece....

I forgot to mention. Pierce is a self-confessed hedonist with no drugs being off limits. When he says, "I'm wasted all the time" he fucking means it.

I agree with Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - fantastic live as well.

Brother Ali.

You're dead right, one of the best albums ever made. I bought Lazer Guided Melodies last month as I only had an old copy on vinyl - another classic album, almost forgot how good it was.

Talk Talk. I know a lot of people have heard of them but a lot of people don't know how good they were towards the end so hope it counts :). Their later period is still criminally underrated and I don't think I've ever heard of a band develop so much over a decade.

Laughing Stock and Spirit of Eden are two of my favourite ever albums and love how they don't sound 80s and dated and have a timeless quality to them. Well worth a listen!
