I'm delighted we didn't sell Onuoha in the window there as I feel he is a great squad player to have if injuries occur. He is more than capable of filling in and is a very accomplished defender. He is a blue himself and loves the club. He perhaps was wrong to criticise Mancini on soccer AM, but he was obviously hurt in some way by Mancini, he wasnt thinking. I do hope, however that he isn't only in the team because of the whole email saga, becasue he deserves to be in the team. Those who criticise him obviously didn't watch him when he played for city, because I thought he did a great job when in the team.

Really interesting to see how he'll be used, we've got K. Toure, Kompany, Savic and Lescott at CB!

Did Mancini intend for him to be excluded from our plans?

Good post. IMO the only performance where he did not do himself justice was the Spurs loss. That game put "the final nail in" getting Hughes the sack and which Mancini watched from the stand. It may have "marked Ned's card." I cannot imagine Mancini giving him a game but in spite of all the bad blood over the email saga personally I still like him and rate him.

I want him out, big sodding gob on that stupid saturday morning footy show, i scheming agent/mum and kia.

Sorry Ned its a thumbs down from me, if you hadnt sulked like a fucking baby and got on with it my view would be different.

Of course. Ya- Ya and Micah can also cover CB. Ned pissed on his chips on soccer am and the GC e-mail story has done him few favours. Bobby would pick me before he'd consider ned.

not a big fan to be honest. decent but never going to be brilliant.

Agree 95% . The other 5% is for Ian f-in Wright who orchestrated email gate.

You know at the back of my mind I keep thinking that Ned let all this furore start because he thought he had the backing of all City fans because he has been such a blue through and through. OK may be a bit of a stretch but I keep coming back to it.

If so, it has backfired spectacularly because the consensus seems to be to back GC.

As a player I think he has some good skills, not sure if he will fit in with our set up now, but as a person I have lost some respect for him. Just my humble opinion.

He's a decent player that has been unlucky with injuries. Even the level we are at now he could do a job as a squad player against the lesser teams. But that time has unfortunately gone. He made a couple of mistakes backing Hughes and talking out of turn on tv. In reality I don't think it was that bad at all but damage done. Realistically at right back he's behind Richards, zabs and savic. At centre half he's behind vinnie, lescott, k toure and savic.

So bar an injury disaster I can't see how he will even get near the bench, really he is far too good for that. Its a shame he's a proper city fan and a local lad. Too many managers and injuries Mancini doent rate him or want him it seems. Probably go out on loan with bridge when the loan window opens for the championship next week until January then see what happens.

This^^

Tried to bring the manager down by way of Soccer Saturday, then this.

A True Blue, just like the 5th column!

But yeah, welcome back son. If you get the shirt, you'll get 100% from me.

I think when Neds was loaned out, initially, it came at a time where the Richard Dunne type player was yesterday's man. Neds had built his game, learning off Dunney and this has ultimately cost him.

MAYBE Neds entry in to the fold is to do with 'homegrown' players, but really I'm pretty sure Mancini could have had that covered via the reserves. I think Mancini has not been upset that Neds has stayed as he could have simply left him out of the 25 man squad if he wanted to.

Neds willingness to fight, stay and improve has not been lost on Roberto Mancini and I think you will see Neds or Savic on the bench quite regularly.

I'll say this, Neds is savvy enough to know that he has to adapt his game and at 24, I don't think that's beyond him, at any stretch! I should think he'd have studied what RM wants from a defender and will have been working towards this end.

I'm pleased to see him back and think he has something to offer as a versatile squad player.

Good opportunity for him to put his head down, and improve as a player.

I suspect he kept quiet thinking he was going to go on loan to Bolton or Everton. When he was left training with the reserves he may have felt desperate. I dont condone the email saga it was wrong and has damaged the CEO's reputation. I do however think we should try and be fair to all our players under contract. IMO we should look to develop a reputation as a club that cares about its supporters, players and staff. We get enough bad press, we need to strive harder to be beyond criticism.

well i dont think he could of really left him out considering hes put bridge in the team and apparently he is still yet to be seen! the real invisible man!

That actually says more than your comments on E-gate.

What?

He was another player who slagged Mancini off & thought Ireland was the next Pele.

Not good enough.
