Makes Lescott look like Silva on the ball.
Personally I think he's "just" better than Lescott. Lescott is better in the air, Onouha is better with his feet and quicker. Dont you remember the wonder goal he scored for Sunderland? Can you imagine Lescott doing that?
I understand the bad feeling from the damage he has caused to the club but IMO he is under rated as a player.

It was hardly a wonder goal, a good goal yes.

Playing at RB allowed him that, as losing the ball as a RB to a CB is totally different, Ned was a player with potential, but as far as im concerned he hasnt maximised it.

Before he moved to Sunderland there wasnt that much difference between him and Micah, Now they're worlds apart.

Take a look at the goal: Better than "good" MoTD described it as "Unbelievable" and "Brilliant"
Before he moved to Sunderland Onouha was better than Richards. Since that time Richards has improved a lot under Mancini and is now playing better. I am convinced Onouha could show similar improvement if he was allowed to play regularly under Mancini. However this is unlikely to happen and he looks likely to move on.

Wasn't Richards 'flattered' to be linked with The Arse and 'dreamed of playing there', one day in the future?? As for Boyata, if he's the Next Big Thing, wouldn't it have been easier for him NOT to go on loan and be counted as a 'homegrown' player, essentially locking off that place from Neds??

Why do you think he's gone on loan?? If you remember that game against The Arse, he lunged in against Chamakh, which shows signs of positional and professional immaturity. Has he had a real look in, since??

Neds would have recovered that situation quicker or would have not been in that situation, in the first place.

There is no way you could know that really, Boyata is still young as well while Ned is grown up now, he cant be called a youngster anymore. 3 City managers have come and gone in the last few years and none have rated him that highly. He was freely available on the market this summer and he didnt even get sniffed at apart from Everton loan, that in itself says alot. Decent defender but thats all. As i said beofre without the 3 massive injuries he had early on in his career i think he would of been top class

The fact that Sunderland chose not to sign him says it all.

Average player, always has been, always will be.
As I said on another thread Sunderland offered us £6m for him in 2010 and we turned them down. The only reason they didnt buy him at the end of his loan was because Fergie sold Sunderland a job lot of cheap squad players at a budget price.

Are you being deliberately thick??

It's been posted several times that we REJECTED their bid in posts on the forum!!

Couldnt be arsed reading all the pages. 2nd part of sentence holds true!

I'm delighted we didn't sell Onuoha in the window there as I feel he is a great squad player to have if injuries occur. He is more than capable of filling in and is a very accomplished defender. He is a blue himself and loves the club. He perhaps was wrong to criticise Mancini on soccer AM, but he was obviously hurt in some way by Mancini, he wasnt thinking. I do hope, however that he isn't only in the team because of the whole email saga, becasue he deserves to be in the team. Those who criticise him obviously didn't watch him when he played for city, because I thought he did a great job when in the team.

His mum failed to get him a deal.
He won't play for us.
He is history and will be gone at the earliest opportunity.
The only thing that has changed is that the transfer window has closed.

Have you seen Neds run?? Wasn't he up there as one of our quickest players against Petrov and Richards?? He'd have got there, no doubt.

And you contradict yourself, somewhat. Either he's 'rated' or he's not. Injuries should play no part in that thought process. And those 3 managers you mention could have sold him or let him go for free, at any point in their tenure.

Couldn't they...??

i like ned, i dont think he's good enough but i like the lad.its a shame then that he has got involved with kia the snake.i firmly believe that ANY player taking kia on board should be shipped out asap.
he's a **** and a leech. get rid ned or fuck off somewhere else, that goes for tevez, nigel or whoever.

Ned is an adult and made is own bed. I am afraid he has become a liability in that his mother/agent talks to the press. I think at the earliest opportunity he will be out.

I think there's at least 5 City players that use Kia including Silva. I am not a fan of Kia but I think we must learn to do business with all types. He is a big player in world football. We should do what is best for the club and not let personal battles dominate our way forward. Are you suggesting we should sell Silva?

Mancini confirmed on todays press conf. that Ned does not feature in his plans and will not a big part of the team! good news. i really cant stand players who trash the club in public.

players are only secondary

he didnt say that in so many words said he knows he wont play often. bridge on the other hand that would apply to trying to get him in a championship side.

Im not sure how i contradicted myself there, i said he is decent but could of been class if he didnt get injured. Injuries do factor in to it because he missed some crucial development years and his 2 knee injuries stripped him of about 30% of the pace he had.
They could of let him go yes but i guess 2 of them have seen him as a reliable cover if we get 2 or 3 injuries. Also why would you let a player with a selling value go for free, its just not good practice

I couldn't give a shit. He's an 11-17th placed Premier Lg club player.
