He's getting slaughtered by all and sundry over letting Bellamy go.
Quite rightly.
Lol, seriously Bill, you are beginning to sound like you actually want him to fail. I am pissed off with the Bellers situation too, more pissed off at losing him than I am Stevie but hey I look at it like this, the lad slaughtered publically last week, he made inappropriate comments last year, not to mention the Everton spat and the Spuds high five. There is a max squad this year, meaning we have to trim our 39 odd players, we have adequately replaced him with a player with the explosive potential to be our Rooney for years to come and slowly but surely Mancini is stamping his mark but more importantly his authority on this dressing room.

I think I feel more inclined to trust a guy who as a manager has won 3 Serie A (ok one was a bit of a gimme but all the same ...) and two Coppa Italia's (with relatively unfashionable teams) than say MH who as a manager has won, erm ... oh he won the Joan Gamper, did he win the Thomas cook Cup too.

dont want bob to fail, not one bit but i'll tell you this much, we are no where near good enough to dispense with bellamy, anyone thinks we are are totally deluded. we have no firepower whatsoever, no zip. its for this reason i'm pleased we have mario, surely we will show some ambition when he gets in the side. as for stevie i'd of kept him.silva apart our midfield has no creativity at all.
lets hope milner helps out there.

have to agree with the bellamy part
the only person in the front six with fire in their belly now is tevez, and he won't be playing every game
bellamy brought fire and hard work to this club when we had too many pussy-footing around, you don't come across that kind of passion easily
i really hope the new guys step up to the plate and show their mettle

I'm not saying I disagree with ya, just saying I don't think Craig gave us much option, he said in that interview last week he wants to fight for a place and stay at City but this was just lip service. He is a great player on the park, gives everything and we as fans like nothing more than seeing that, I just think Bellers has not been entirely honest with us. I believe he has been engineering a move to Cardiff or Spurs all summer, Dave Jones even confirmed he had spoken with him in May. As for creativity, I think in mentioning only Silva you are selling a number of our lads quite short, most notably Adam Johnson. But hey its all about opinions.

I do notice that the main case for Mancini's defence from his idolisers tends to be his hair and suits.

A good number of his decisions last season worried me, and his communication skills worry me.

However he worked in very difficult circumstances last year and was clearly unused to the premier league.

This season is the one to judge him on. Results are all that matter. He is clearly expected to deliver silverware and a challenge to the top two.

He has the personell. We'll soon see whether he can manage. He has a big challenge and if he pulls it off he deserves huge credit.

Now that we have the right owners with their choice of manager in place and his squad of players assembled, I really hope we give him time to get the squad to gel as a team. Much as I hate Bacon face and all that's evil at the swamp, he does have his players playing as a team. There aren't many players in his squad that would make our team (with maybe the exception of Vidic), but they know each other inside out, know where to make the runs to, where to play passes knowing someone will be there and also defend as a team. That all comes with time. We haven't had any kind of stability over the last 30+ years, with managers lasting a couple of years then being replaced. With a new manager comes new training techniques & tactics that have to be learnt & new players to integrate. We now need to give Mancini a couple of years to consolidate where we are & push on. If we can, and I sincerely hope we do, then I believe my beloved Man City will be a dominant force in England & Europe for the duration of Mancini's stay (hopefully the next 30 years!).

according to Mike Dennis talk shite

Mancinis hair was cut by a butcher

So he cant be that good

Seriously - He is a class act with the media - only answers what he wants to

and by the way according to MD - Platt is over nourished - cant disagree with that but we really have got under their skin

Forza Mancini

Aren't we all very very lucky to this man for our manager?

I mean, the guy is pure class, exemplary behaviour both on and off pitch, dresses well and takes good care of himself, treats fans and journalists with respect and patience.
And, as a manager there are a couple of things I'd like to high-light, and feel free to add any points if you feel there are more:

1) The way he always sweeps away non important stuff in press conferences (such as transfer rumours, supposed internal disputes and so on) , "it is not important" he says, and he is always right. Instead he talks about focus, concentration and winning mentality! The importance of working hard. Don't remember hearing such things from a previous manager.

2) He is without a shadow of a doubt, the man in charge, there can be no mistake about it. A player will never be able to intimidate Mr Mancini, that just wont happen. You will do it his way, follow his rules or you will be on your way out. That's the way it should be. And I have a feeling he is the same when speaking and negotiating with his chairman. It's his way, or no way. You have to respect that.

3) Remember how Hughes looked like when he was first interviewed together with Robinho? Well, you will never see our manager like that I'm sure of. He could be sitting besides any player(s) in the world, and he would not be star-struck, or feeling intimidated by a players potential status.
Today he was seated next to huge signing in Balotelli, or The Hammer, as he is now called I read, and when asked about how good he is or can be, his qualities, Mancini answers in a very controlled and dominant (in a good way) fashion. No big words, but instead careful and sound comments.

I think, and deeply hopes, he will be our manager for years and years to come. There is no one else I would rather have in his position and I am so grateful he chose us to work for.

Love you Mancini!!!

I agree with a lot of that, but to play devil's advocate just for a moment, half of the above could simply be put down to an inability to speak English. "It's not important" is a very useful one liner to answer all sorts of questions for which the real words elude you.

^ This is really what it comes down to. We can't keep all of them and we can't have 8 forwards either. I am sure without this daft rule, Bellers would be playing for us next season.

at the end of the day there are some very tough decisions to be made and we have to go with the flow, we may not agree with them as in bellers leaving but one thing is absolutly certain we need to keep this manager in place. now we have or about to clear the decks we need to let him get on with it. winning, losing, negative or whatever we have to see this through now, chopping and changing is just not an option.

get this right and nobody will catch us.
