Reception for Mark Hughes...

He will be remembered as City manager for his contribution to the club in terms of the calibre of signings he made and how far he bought the club in terms of progress made in his duration here. I do not think of him as a rag as he no longer plays for them and as a manager he is a neutral and wishes to do the best job he can. I wish him well at Fulham and will applaud him on his return. He done nothing wrong in terms of his departure and the way the club relieved him of his duties was nothing short of disgusting.

Good luck Mark! (except against us, obviously!)

I should hope he gets a decent reception, he's been very dignified since his rather badly handled exit and hasn't bad-mouthed the club at all.

Agree but I wonder what was in his severance package? Keep it shut and don`t bad mouth City and you will be rewarded handsomely? Even if there was a gagging order, I think that Hughes deserves to be treated with respect. He tried his hardest and it wasn´t to be. His biggest failure at city was signing RSC. What a complete waste of wonga.

Couldn't give a fuck as to how he's responded to. But personally I like to thinkh he'll get the reaction befitting a man of decency, honesty and integrity. Someone who you could rely on to give 100% of himself to achieve the level of success we all hoped for. And someone whose hatred of the rags was encapsulated forever in the infamous 97th minute. When you're cheated, you never forget. Either way.

i'll stand up and welcome him with a good clap..he did nothing wrong, we were no better under mancini after Xmas and probably would have got top 6 anyway so...a big warm welcome from me...thank you sparky....

had no time for him after he got rid of dunnie in such a cold manner so I'm not going to pretend to like him now.

Who's the last Manager we had who came back to City with another Club? I don't recall Keegan back at The COMS during his final brief spell with Newcastle and then there's Pearce or Royle. Struggling to think of one.

Steve Coppell with Reading springs to mind.
