Red and black scarves

i have my dads old red and black college scarf he wore at the 69 final, i was stood next to him when buzzer played that brilliant cut back to nelly young who lashed it into the net with his famous left peg.

my dad will be 92 in febuary and has dementia, is deaf and blind, and living in a home. i take his old scarf to all important games. the semi final against the scum and the qpr last day match.

it seems to be working so far so it will still be wearing it when we need that extra luck

Well done. This could be posted on the "Soul" thread as well. I have the same scarfe from the 69 final but it is mine. Recently it has made trips to the semi and final, last years home derby and final match v QPR. I wore my blue one to both legs of the 81 Argentinian disaster. I also wore it at the swamp in 1973. When the rags decided to join us in the old scorboard end I don't remember any of them thinking it was one of theirs!!!

i had a blue and white with the maroon in 69 the final. i thew it on the steps of maine road in protest (at peter the comb over) at said i wont be back till he`d fucked off out of our club. i`d had that scarf for years, it had been all over the country with me. it genuinely still miss that scarf

When you held that scarf up on Wembley Way, I think a bit of dust got in my eye. I have a great photo of it. Might be my favorite of that day. That and the bloke who fell asleep drunk on the coach and got his face marked up... Both sentimental favorites.
