Friends on FB with several folks that used to be involved in all the bad stuff in the 80's for United and they're all pretty accepting of it. And gracious even. Which was a little odd. But yeah, they are all still hardcore fans who go when they can afford it and too a one they recognized we were just better. Good banter of course but they all seem too see the writing on the wall.

That doesn't really surprise me. It might seem an uncomfortable thought to some but the so-called "livelier" elements attached to both clubs, particularly the old school lot, can often have a more grown-up debate about each other's teams without descending into a petty, childish pissing contest about who has more class or who does things "the right way". As hilarious as it is, some of these fuckwits on Red Cafe and other sites are a fucking embarrassment to those reds that know their stuff.
