Red Card for Glen Johnson?!?!?!

ref could have booked 10 players tonight, instead he booked 2 for handbags. Tackling was never going to get red with him.
 
100% two-footed (which VK's wasn't) with both feet off the ground, yet this wasn't even a free kick. Surely the FA have to act retrospectively if they're adamant that Kompany's was indeed a red.
