It's a dig at "grief junkies" apparently. Don't mention the M word!

It's pretty much spot on, to be honest.

It's not in any way taking the piss out of Muamba or his condition, it's taking the piss out of the people who were scrambling over each other to grieve the most for a player who hadn't even died.

There is obviously a fair bit of irony, though, as pointed out above.

I think it's funny actually. Twitter had so many idiots saying "Pray for Muamba" Pretending like they gave a shit. 95% of them had probably never heard of him until then. Some people were tweeting #RIPMunamba. Someone edited Wikipedia saying he was dead. This is more a a dig at social media rather than a dig a Muamba

I know fanzines are meant to cut close to the edge it's why they were so popular in the late 80's early 90's but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed and I feel this crosses it

Maybe they could have chosen a more subtle cover pic but the point they seem to raise i agree with.
So many complete tits seeing who could fake the most emotions.

I do not doubt like me everyone really wanted him to get well but some comments flying around were just false and distasteful imo as they seemed more designed to bring attention to the poster.

A quick "i hope the lad pulls through" was suffice but some went into the realms of sillyness.

This forum had a fair few

I know it's got 'issue' in the fanzine title but this is in poor taste.

Muamba is not out of the woods, it's unknown if he will make a full recovery and could yet take a turn for the worse. If the latter happens that cover will not look good at all.

Yes we do live in an age of over sympathetic wailing, particularly with 24 hour tv and radio news but I'm sure they would want to have constant updates if Rooney's wig transplant started to fall out or Giggs's neutering operation caused him to become more hairy, just like we would if one of our players was ill.

I understand what they're trying to get at, but if it had been anything to do with a City forum or fanzine I'd be extremely embarrassed.

The comment that says "Is he dead?" is in extremely poor taste

Poor taste but the message it's trying to say is right.

Still hypocritical though with all the munich stuff they do. What made the 50th anniversary any different than the 49th or 51st? Yet they still tried to force people into respecting it in an OTT fashion.
