Pep might last only a year at Shitty. Their first team squad is not as healthy as the ones he took over at Barca or Munich. Despite what people say, Pep is actually human. It might go arseways for him.
He may not do well.

But is that what we have been reduced to? All we can do is hope that the most coveted manager in the World (19 trophies with 2 clubs) wont do well with infinite transfer, an already strong squad and a stable and progressive infrastructure around him?

This is my favourite, because it is completely true. The best they can do is hope that the best manager in the world, with huge resources at his disposal, building on a team that will either be champions or runners-up in the domestic league, will actually fuck it up completely.

They must think the whole world has turned upside down.

It's going to be hard to word this without sounding bitter about Pep going to City, But in a way I hope it all collapses for him when he is at the club (not just because it's City), solely for the reason that he continues to take the 'easiest' option.
There is going to be a job that he takes in which it doesn't all work to plan, and I think City could well be it. The squad is good, but it is ageing and needs possibly revamped, Plus we have seen from our own squad what can happen when you bring so many new faces in at once.

As I've said before, my wife is a proper scouser who used to stand on the Kop. She spends all day on social media for both work and pleasure. She won't go near that site as she finds it quite embarrassing.

You raise a good point. Its so easy to read a football forum, this one included and believe it represents an entire fan base when that just isnt the case. The internet also allows you to express an opinion that you would never come out with in real life sometimes as well.

That said, i still fucking hate those sheep like cunts on RAWK.

Indeed. My wife, like us, was a match-going football fan way before the internet. However, there is usually a level of civility on here, in stark contrast to twitter where the abuse I get for daring to have an opinion is just moronic, and that's from so-called City fans. Speaking of the evils of the internet, gotta leave my office and head home to find a feed for the match! Bye for now.

I think many are overlooking the bigger picture, CL titles are great but I also think City & their owners are trying to instill a philosophy and establish a playing legacy as evidenced by many efforts to mirror Barcelona's setup.

   Lets not knee jerk, for me City have just conceded the league and champions league today!
   
   How they can disrespect Pelligrini and appoint another Manager during his tenure is beyond me!

   What we need to do now is to prepare for next season, that starts by consolidating this season.
   
   We should appoint Mourhino, let him take us to FA Cup success, a decent run in the Europa Cup and finish 4th or above.

   We are the biggest club in the World, have the largest international fan base and are also one of the globally financial leaders in sport.
   
   We will not be another Liverpool or Arsenal for that matter, we have to much of a international brand, image and sponsorship for that to happen.

I am yet to be convinced by Pep. I really like his persona and style of management but he is yet to prove himself at a team which isn't one of the best in world football.
The premier league is also a completely different ball game atm in terms of competition. I honestly don't think he'll settle as well as some believe. It will take time imo before they see anything special from him.

And Mourinho (and so many top managers) has!? they are so full of shit. Predictable, cliched arguements to suit their own agenda. For once they could just say "Fair play!" but no they are too bitter and full of hate/rage that they can't take being the nosy neighbours for once.
