Happy with this, he's the best/fairest referee in the league. A welcome relief having suffered Mason and Clattenburg in the last two games.

Good news, he's the best PL ref around. Pity that he cannot ref the games in Merseyside. Although he is local to there I would trust him more than Clattenburg. It justs highlights what a dire shortage there is of decent referees.

Pity he wasn't in charge at the Arse - apparently his record for them is really gash and it would have made a big difference to the outcome!

Still, always said Sir Mike will do for me - just hope this proves to be the case on Sunday!

I dont think it will. He was the ref when they beat us at home last year and he sent VK off for a tackle that was overturned by the FA.
Most City fans recognise that he is a strong character, with mostly good judgement. He is the best referee around and he appears not to be influenced by players, managers or the crowd as some weaker officials like Clattenburg are.

Morning fellow City fans

I am travelling down to Manchester for the weekend and have been trying to get tickets for the game on Sunday.

I appreciate that for a game against Chelsea, tickets are like goldust.

Viagogo have tickets but only for 1 at various sections which isnt viable as I am travelling as part of a couple.

I know this is a long shot, but would anyone know of anyone who has two tickets they are looking to sell for the game on Sunday?

One of the few refs who doesn't have a long list of corrupt performances. He may make mistakes, as all refs do, but I can't recall him ever giving every little decision one way or the other. Cannot complain at his appointment, I'd gladly have him every week.
