Ref for Chelsea

Why were Costa and Fabregas not sent off
I don't want anybody to praise Mike Dean again .
Don't forget he missed a foul on Milner when Sunderland scored last year .

His only mistake was in trying to establish control by dishing out cards early on. It was obvious that someone would end up getting a red in such an intense game.

For me Mike Dean as have a chip on his shoulder with City since the red card he gave Kompany at Arsenal a couple of seasons back got turned over. Last season's game at Arsenal was the same as today, with booking anybody in a blue shirt, yet keeping his cards in his pocket for the same sort on foul by any Arsenal player , still would have him reffing then Clattenburg or Mason !

Apart from Zabba's soft first yellow and the fact Fabregas got away with numerous cynical fouls without getting booked I thought he had a good game but got a ridiculous amount of stick from the crowd.

He'll do as he's told. Mangala red for having the temerity of costa giving him a Glasgow kiss. You heard it here first.
Fuck me I was close with that prediction. Alright then it was zabba and a strangulation...

Surely this cannot be right - a decent ref for a big game!

Let's see if we still think that at full time :-)

Yes, I did think he was a decent ref but after today's inconsistent performance he has sunk (in my opinion) to the level of the other tossers that we have seen for the past few seasons.
He was too quick to hand out yellow cards to our players but very slow to punish Chelsea's fouls. Was he trying to atone for his cock-up in the Chelsea v Sunderland game last season?
Zabba's first yellow was a decent tackle with the Chelsea player making sure he fell over Zabb'a foot - foul yes, yellow, never. Unfortunately that set the tone for us.
