Ref for Saturday - West Brom (h)

I feel as though this could be another thread of mine that gets deleted, all I do is inform who it's gonna be,then all hell breaks loose, but you know me I'm always up for an argument

Most threads start with good intentions but then end up about GDM :-)

AND ,.... another thread derailed by people fighting their corner instead of speaking/giving their opinon about what this thread is all about THE fucking ref for wba game...well done boys

Sorry mate.

I think these topics are always and would love a thread where there os bot an outcry stating he is biased or shit. Discuss :-).

On a serious note, besides the Aguero dive, is there another instance where he has 'wronged' us in peoples opinions?[/QUOTE]

with him i think is more about the fact that he is not fit for the job/to small for it rather than being a biased one

Thing is what you don't seem to be picking up on,is most if not ALL of us know who the ref is by name, which immediately creates,or meant to create discussion, that's the whole point,Mike Jones is a useless fucking ****,whether he has wronged us or not,(but he has).

When for example we have Clattenburg, there is mixed opinion, mostly negative I may add,but our resident West Ham fan has created a thread about what a **** he is after Saturday's match, something the majority of us on here already know, there are not a lot left on the list, which makes you think,oh we have a sensible one doing us at weekend, then when they are announced at 4pm,your fears are confirmed, which applies to this coming Saturday's match as well

But do you not, in all serious, not think it is just a very tough job and almost impossible to call every decision correctly.

Shearer and Wright could not even agree on the Leicester 'handball' after reflecting on it for hours and seeing dozens of replays from numerous angles.

Sadly the mind and the eyes can play tricks on you.

Oh indeed yea,of course I do,it's a bastard job,but the thing is this day and age, they are pro's,and getting paid decent till, but they are now a massive and very important part of the match, however a certain few want to be bigger than the match, particulary a televised game, which pisses people off,and get everyone talking about the inept decisions that cost teams points,it really is never ending

Every single week I see a thread on the referee of the matches. I've never once opened the thread but i constantly wonder how they ever manage to exceeded 5 pages. What is there to discuss!?

'He's shit' , 'it'll be like playing against 12 men... etc

But again talking about decisions is all conjecture. Depending on your outlook it could be the right or wrong call.

Bobby Manc recently commented on the refs in england being much better than there italian counterparts and I an sure it is something Mourinho has alluded to also.

Being a pro or well paid is still not enough to ensure every decision is correct, particularly with the play acting and intense scrutiny.

This Whistling Wanker owes us big time. But he'll no doubt do his best to be impartial, or his version of what impartial is, ie bending over backwards to make sure Albion get a fair crack. Just when we need a double win for the first time since Waterloo he gets the gig. Another one just not up to the mark.

I long for the day a ref appointment is announced and there is not the usual outcry or belief that they are all against us.

To be fair, it's not a surprise when we keep getting Madley, Taylor, Clattenburg or Mason. Saturday was the first time I've seen Madley without him being a complete cnut.
Jones I would peg as simply incompetent rather than biased, but I don't think there's ever that much of an outcry if we get Atkinson, Marriner, Probert, Moss etc etc, is there?
Are you, dare I say then, perhaps taking the reaction to 3 or 4 individuals with long histories of contentious decisions against us, and using that to fuel your own, erm, anti-agenda, agenda?! I think we should be told....... ;-)

Of course it is all conjecture but please find a link to a thread about Mariner, just one of examples, and the views of our fellow Blue Mooners

http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/todays-referee.278667/

Although I am sure views have softened since then and fans would welcome him with open arms. Is that enough of an outcry?

Ah, loading the dice in your favour by not only quoting from a thread that is 3 years old, but more importantly one that was started immediately after a match that was refereed badly, when emotions were inevitably bound to be running high, rather than one of the pre-match "And the ref for Saturday is....." threads we were talking about earlier. Moving the goalposts like that, tsk, tsk; you're not related to David Gill are you? ;-)

Not just that but we actually won that game so the fact we were pissed off wasn't down to sour grapes. Just another shit performance from a supposedly top flight ref.

So are we saying if the thread was more recent city fans would no longer thing he is inept and a cheat??

Would he have changed then and now be honest and conpetent??

Also if feelings are not running high should we expect peoples opinions to be different??

If so I could not agree more. Refs, Bias are threads emotions always run high in because a lot of City fans believe there is some widespread conspiracy against us. Maybe a more rational view would lend itself to the conclusion they are not all inept and biased.

You asked me for City fans of a certain ref and I provided it. Apologies if you did not like the results. No loading of dice, they are others views not mine.

No goalposts moving here my friend :-)
