Ref for Wolves.

All the talk about Mason been a Bolton fan. I know for a fact that he was a Manchester United fan when he reffed in the Noth Counties league. He was open about been a match going rag. He now claims to be a Bolton fan, smells a bit iffy to me!?!?

If you know this for a fact, and Mason has lied about the team he supports, then that sounds very dodgy to me. Should be reported to Mike Riley imo.

his yellow, as you say, was correct, his shirt pull was an intentional attempt to impede an apponent, one which, no matter where on the pitch, should always incur a yellow
Another example would be the Arsenal player trying to swap shirts with Lescott in the Arsenal penalty area - no YC & no penalty.

songs tackle was an accidental, careless trip, he went for the ball and missed it, not, in my opinion worthy of a yellow card
Same as Balotelli's (except Balotelli played the ball before making contact with Song - hence the media witch hunt!!).

This constant hounding of referees has to stop as if it doesn't I honestly fear it will end in a crazed fan commiting an act of extreme violence on any number of individual officials that have acted with clear bias.

And the problem with that is what exactly?

This game will no doubt yield Wolves finest performance of the season ... what's the betting ??

They rolled over for United , they rolled over for Arsenal .... but when we come to town it's usually a far different story!

All they need is a kick up the arse from their manager , and a ref like Lee Mason !

At least Mario won't be playing as he has the biggest target on his back. Unfortunately, Mario doesn't know how to control his emotions when players on the other side are persistently pushing his buttons. He lets them niggle him until he lashes out or makes reckless tackles to get him yellow/red cards.

I hope Roberto keeps him out of the side for the rest of the year -- in part as punishment for his selfish actions, and also City can't afford to play a player down in any of the remaining games.

Don't get me wrong. I do like Mario; I like his amazing talent and some of his antics are funny. However, he's got to stop thinking of just Mario and think of the team overall.

We seem to end up with the likes of mason foy webb and clattenburg too often for my liking. There are some refs I see on MOTD and it takes me a while to figure out who they are partly because they never bloody ref us !!

Or possibly because they like to stay out of the limelight and do a good job.

maybe it should be like boxing where both sides have to agree on the officials

Fair enough. Answer me two questions:

1. Do you think that any bookings City players may receive will look like corrupt decisions because of the official?
2. If the FA wanted to weaken City before a Derby match, why didn't they book/send off several of our players before the last Derby?

To answer Q2 first, it was too early in the season

Q2- Quite possibly they will look corrupt, especially if they're seen as harsh and the same standards are not applied to both teams
Look at the Arsenal away game. Yaya tugs a shirt and is QUITE RIGHTLY shown a yellow, even though it was his first offense
Arsenal player commits a professional foul on Yaya (which put him out of the game as well) and the player is not even spoken to

Early soft yellows and our players are walking tightropes.
As I said, if our strikers are on fire and we can get three or more goals there won't be a problem, because the refs bias decisions in an attempt to stop us from playing won't matter
If it's a scrappy game we'll be in trouble

So let me get this straight, if you try to get the ball, but put your stoods through someone's knee, then that's ok?

or just get neutral referees from UEFA or FIFA, go on a referee-exchange program with other leagues..
