Questions need to be asked about why any ref (but mainly Taylor today and identically at Anfield last year) should see fit to ref a game totally against how all games are reffed these days.

He abdicated all responsibility, Arsenal should have had 3 booked in the first 15 minutes. We didn't play great, but I'm sure if the laws of the game were being applied properly, some of their players would have had to be more careful and it could have made the difference.

Absolutely right about the challenge on Ortega. Neville giving it "he's got every right to go for that" - well he has yeah, but he also needs to be carded if he gets there late and goes over the ball into Ortega's shoulder. Minimum should have been yellow.

Agree, those days are gone, that approach now has the opposite effect & slows the game down.

Compare it to the yellow Rodri got at Anfield - it changed his game completely. And all that Neville bullshit that you can’t give a yellow in the first couple of minutes of a game (Jesus on Bernie).
