Putting my tinfoil-hat on for a second, someone might make the argument the PL could be going after City and Chelsea with decisions like these more often going forward, for making the history clubs look like the bad guys(which they were). "Richard Masters' masters aren't happy". ;)
The only good thing about this is there will be so few supporters for either team in CL final it should mean the ref doesn’t get influenced by not reffing in front of hostile crowds. Atwell was so very weak in that regard.
