Ref Watch

As above, the penalty. But the mistake was corrected. The penalty on Bernardo should have been corrected also, so in my view, the fault of with VAR, not Atwell on this occasion.

I agree, and you made some good points in your original assessment.
The problem is we only have two referees remotely good enough to referee the big games ,Oliver and Taylor.
City fans wont accept those two, but the others are hopeless , so currently for most posters it doesn't really matter who refs, the response will always be the same.
Personally I believe Taylor is the best.
Despite the "what about " reies.

Anyone still with their head in the sand about manipulation of matches should have just listened to a segment on Talkshite with the head of the respect the referee campaign. He's admitted it's a difficult campaign to do because the premier league; "Is a business and a product. Referees won't send players off as it affects the brand." Claims the actions of PiGMOL aren't helping protect park referees.

It's hidden in plain sight. As fans we need to learn the rules of the game and act accordingly.

I missed it as its Talkshite but its nice he agrees with me. I said on here that sending Milner off for the first challenge would spoil the match so the ref refused to make a decision.
With regards to the second yellow, you only had to listen to the commentary after it. They went on and on about it being end to end it was exactly what sky wanted so again, no way would the ref spoil that by applying the rules.
The PL is turning into WWF.

I expect a WWF style performance from OliVAR at the weekend.
