Likewise. It appears for all intents and purposes that VAR is being used to manipulate the outcome of certain events. The PiGMOL, the FA and the PL are doing NOTHING to address this

Exactly. It was a foul and should have been awarded as a penalty. It looked a penalty in real time and a single replay confirmed it. The Match Commander decided otherwise and essentially overruled the on field officials. The only conclusion I can draw from that is that there was corrupt intent to manipulate the outcome of the game.
The match commander should be called out and PGMOL need to be held to account. But we all know that wont happen. As long as decisions like this and those at the weekend are being made in secret with no accoutability , people will rightly question the integrity of the game. I think that may be it for me after this season as a match going fan. Which ever where those in charge try and spin it this clearly should not be happening.
...and then you have 'former' PiGMOL officials (who have no doubt signed the fabled NDA) 'Despot Dermot' on Sky and Peter 'The C*nt' Walton on BT justifying every sh*t/bent decision.
