I always thought that and Dean already done 2008. But Oliver did the 2018 and 2021 finals and Taylor the 2017 and 2020 games so this once in a lifetime is obviously bollocks. Although before these two the last ref to do two finals was some bloke called Arthur Kingscott in 1900 and 1901 so maybe it was a thing. Worryingly Attwell was involved on VAR in 2020, then fourth official in 2021 so surely he can't be ref this year.Not if he's already done one which I'd guess he has.

As much of a legend on that glorious day as Sergio.Say what you want or will about him, I don't particularly rate him but Mike Dean will always be remembered by me as being the ref that allowed the 93:20 goal and for that he should never be forgotten.

Did find it hilarious the Southampton fans booing and whistling the 22 seconds it took us to take a throw in. 10 seconds later Phil smashed the ball in the back of their net!
