Ref Watch

How can the same ref who not long ago booked 6 Leeds players at their home game v Rags, also booking 3 Rags be so lenient with their fouling today.
We are clearly officiated differently, 2 bookings from 3 fouls compared to what they got away with should lead to an investigation but it wont.
Nothing in the media or MOTD about his performance, already swept under the carpet.
The club are far too soft, Klopps head would be exploding in the post match interview about that with the media highlighting it, its why they get away with so much as officials are spineless where they know we never make a fuss so it makes their job easier to give everything against us

Can't believed he just waved it away so.confidently
For me, this is one of the ways they subtly influence the outcome of games.

Tierney immediately and confidently signaled no penalty for that foul on Sterling. This means he definitely saw the incident and didn't see the push (which was clear as day). If we hadn't scored, it would have been reviewed by VAR, and you would like to think the penalty would have been given.

However, those incidents can be deemed close, and often not overturned because they weren't a clear and obvious error.

Consider a similar incident where the referee immediately and confidently points to the penalty spot. Even if it is a bit of a dubious decision, it won't be overturned because again, it's not a clear and obvious error.

We get loads of the former decisions, like today. Liverpool and United get lots of the second kind of decision. We might get a small number of overturns and a few penalties awarded. Liverpool and United might have a few penalty awards overturned, but will keep the majority of their penalties.

They do a similar thing with yellow cards. A bad foul by players of certain clubs are immediately met with a yellow card, when it should be red. It is unlikely to be overturned, because the yellow card is a subjective opinion. It also cannot be reviewed retrospectively.

I was browsing the post match stats and after reading this had a look. Leeds 42 tackles, 13 fouls, 2 yellows. City 12 tackles, 3 fouls , 2 yellows. If that's not game management I don't know what is.

He started ok. Second the crowd was on his back it was like he couldn’t give us anything. Strange football, if you ask Leeds fans they’d say he was against them.

Probably one of the worst and inconsistent refereeing performances I have seen this season. He actually made poor decisions for both teams but we definitely got the worst of it. Dallas Committed 5 offences without receiving a card. His only intention was to foul Jack and unfortunately for him, in doing so, he caused himself a bad injury. Had Tierney booked him earlier, this would probably not have happened. Disgraceful officiatin.

"You're not fit to referee" because they wanted a booking for Grealish being fouled by Dallas, who injured himself. I know they don't get the benefit of replays in the stadium but it was clear as day who went in on who there.

Another weird set of fans who had a bee in their bonnet over Grealish. Seemingly he should be allowed to get consistently fouled and it be ok
