Ref Watch

So by not acting on the hair pulling incident, Spurs could have played the game a man down which Chelsea subsequently could have then won. Is this not fixing the outcome of a match?
If you could link that to a beneficiary then it would be Pandora’s box, the whole lot would come down, think Italian football (where the money was) X50…..With my conspiracy head on, the Paqueta betting revelations came out at an opportune moment for some, compare reactions to both incidents (there’s no comparison) one could ruin football, the other is a few quid on an island the other side of the world. No doubt behind the scenes conversations have taken place (before Deans interview) between all parties, and when pushed people sometimes want to push back, it seems this is him saying I won’t be shushed/bullied. I wonder what news the FA/PL etc were burying when going after Ivan Toney ?
was there something around that time ? Anything to do with refereeing or results ? If you listen to Toney & read between the lines, he suspects there are bigger things at play

Dean is definitely a loose cannon. The transfer from top flight refereeing to VAR must pretty much be automatic, and I reckon Webb couldn't wait to get rid of him. Same with Mason. Webb only wants compliant officials working for him. He'd have a team of Attwells or Cootes of he could.

He's already got plenty of C.... in his team.

VAR should be like an audit of the integrity of decisions and an opportunity to address clear and obvious mistakes. The fact that the refs and the VAR officials are all from the same pool - clearly ‘mates‘ - is undermining the objectivity and the potential benefits of VAR. the PL needs to look at PIGMOL - it is not fit for purpose and needs a new model with significantly better accountability, performance and professionalism. Any referring body needs to report directly to the Independent regulator, not directly to the PL because effectively that’s like reporting to the red shirts - hence the problem we have created.

It’s interesting today that the FA’s response to the Mike Dean revelation is dismay that it has come to light - if they had any integrity they’d be launching an immediate enquiry to understand what the hell is going on… instead we will be treated to another weekend of apologies whilst Mr Corruption himself Howard Webb remains at the helm. The whole PIGMOL organisation is rotten to the core, it lacks integrity, there are too many errors and mistakes being made for them to be passed of as errors and incompetence. A few officials are probably on the take from betting syndicates.

In the 90s the strategy was don’t bring attention on the refereeing & the Piss Can took full advantage. He controlled the organisation & their decision making by bringing full attention onto anyone who didn’t jump to his tune.
The biggest beneficiaries were Riley & Webb only it’s not the 90s any more & I think if Webb thinks he can ride it he’ll get a shock. There are cells full of blokes who thought they were untouchable but as many have said this is overdue an independent enquiry.

Mike Dean is a proper t*at.
He showed Southampton no mercy at the swamp a couple of seasons back.
He was on a mission to send off all the team that night.
Attention seeking bellend

The only way Dean admits this, is if a collective decision was made from the entire organisation not to undermine one another when making a decision, which is basically railing against the introduction of VAR, and been in place since it’s inception, or as we all suspect, VAR has been used to manipulate the outcome of games. Dean is quite smart because he has cleansed his sins and fired a warning shot at the same time, he knows there are much bigger incidents in play here, such as the Rashford offside, the big question is what else does he know ?
100%

Been saying for a while, the refs never wanted it and were actively tyring to discredit VAR from the get go. Pre VAR certain teams in red got decision after decision without recourse. VAR would
potentially ruin this for the cartel clubs. They werent going to take this lying down

Eventually there was so much of a shit storm, they had no option but to relent and VAR arrived. However you only have to look at other sports who have no/few issue with VAR styled systems, to know its been a concerted effort by the officials to get rid of it. This has been plainly obvious for years to many but at least its finally confirmed for all to see with Dean’s interview. As you say its going to be interesting to dig into other incidents as this is the tip of the iceberg for sure…

VAR is our only chance of levelling the playing field. No wonder the refs wanted nothing to do with it. Its a journey and we are not at the end of it by any chance. Stage 1 was getting VAR, stage 2 was letting it highlight to all how bent the officals are and i think we’re virtually there now (even the most placid of people now realise theres something dirty going on). Stage 3 will be to root out the cancer and expunge it from the game!!

Whats being said??
Alty isn’t his mate he’s a colleague, for some reason this is his biggest gripe, maybe to do with online grief? it was his own fault, no reflection on Pigmol, being on VAR gave him anxiety, basically he’s tried shutting down any other thought process and shouldered the blame himself, strange that soccer Saturday addressed this first up but someone has to get ahead of the narrative & who better than Sly taking one for the team when tv rights are up for renewal

Well he’s lying about the liverpool red card. Just said once he watched it back once its not a red. I literally watched the show last week and Dean was adamant it was a red, repeatedly

Now saying Gordon wasn't a red. Totally ignoring the laws of the game. This cancer needs to be removed from the game!

I appreciate that the job of the refs is to ensure that the cash cows keep the money rolling in, but just watching last season's Season Review and our game vs the rags. If you ever needed an example of the extent to which Michael Oliver despises this club, take a look at his face when he has to confirm that our 2nd goal has crossed the line. Pure hatred and it is clearly personal. Should never be allowed anywhere near our games.

We need to thank the bent officiating, not lambast it.
Do you realise how good we have had to become to overcome the dead weight of biased officials, trying to level the playing field, so the epl can claim to be the most competitive in the world?
They created the monster they were trying to eradicate. Lolz!

Exactly right. The combined impact of clear and obvious fucking cheating together with our achievements being continually undermined by a bought-and-paid for sneering client media has one effect and one effect only. It absolutely galvanises this Club at every level, on and off the pitch.

The time to worry will be when the sycophants and lickspittles start blowing smoke up our collective arses because that's when the arrogance and delusion seeps in and that's when you end up like the rags and liverpool.
