Ref Watch

Their pen, was that scrutinised by anyone in the media? Beglin whitewashed over the whole incident, well you’d have to seeing as they only showed it twice and made no effort to zoom in. It was more viewed as deserved in their comments. As they were about to restart their commentary they both made a sort of murmur/mumble as if they were about to question it but then just carried on
At HT on the coverage I saw, both analysts and past referee, (Sean Wright-Philips, Tim Sherwood and Chris Foy), all said the Foden incident was a clear penalty and the Southampton penalty should not have been given. They said there would be multiple penalties every game if penalties were given for such minimal contact as on the Southampton player. VAR was a joke, I am sure if the keeper's foul on Foden had been on a Southampton player the VAR would have intervened and a penalty given.

The only thing "clear and obvious" is the bollocks they spout in an effort to justify their decisions.
And the number of decisions - the Foden Stonewall Pen last night was just the latest in a long line - that run contrary to what the world has seen and what is written in the latest LotG is mounting! Soon they will be able to hide Jonny behind them!

I would think that you would not find a City fan who would disagree. I have no doubt that the Foden Stonewall Pen would have been given in our area, along with a lot of 'contact' that could in no way be described as an infringement. The game has turned from one where there was a slight 'odour' to one where the acronym PiGMOL is very apt.

Southampton player theatrically goes down at minimum contact = they get a penalty
Foden, honestly attempts to play the ball despite having been clobbered and clearly fouled = we don't get a penalty

moral of the story. Cheat. Because they do

I include every incident regardless of the team involved there Dave, they've always come out with these shit phrases like "clear and obvious error", "there was contact", "just a coming together" etc etc etc, designed to give themselves wiggle room, depending on the team involved/incident/desired outcome, they think they're far smarter than they actually are, coming out with big words and phrases that anyone but an idiot can see through.

Thank fk there are actually normal people giving sensible views.

Why didn't the fat prick go and look at the monitor or why wasn't he advised to look at it by VAR if they are incompetent enough not to know what a penalty is! Isn't that what the refs have been instructed to do now.
Monitor was too far away. You can't expect him to walk that far and back in his condition.

Mate look at the video a few posts up from @PannickAtTheDisco he gets nowhere near the ball.
just look at the ball not the keeper or Foden, there is a slight deviation after Foden touches it, keeper must have had a slight touch
Nothing whatsoever. Sorry.

I still stand by what I said about the keeper getting a touch. Watch the ball and the spin on it. Both players connect almost at the same time (at real speed) like a double tap or a double click like when you opened this thread. As someone else said though, the defender can get a touch and it still be a penalty. No doubt it WAS a stonewall penalty.

Phil needs to wise up in this situation though. It's one thing to try and stay on your feet or scramble back to them when outside of the box when we are counter attacking or getting at their last line of defence. Inside the box is different though and attention needs to be put back on the ref after such challenges.

They need to implement a challenge system although they would make us use ours in the first 60 mins of most games.

You're Jon Moss and I claim my £5.

When you look at what slabhead gets away with at virtually every corner, if last nights incident was the benchmark then the rags column should say "Corners against = Penalties against", odd that it doesn't.

You need to show us a still which shows him touching the ball mate.

I thought the straight arm push on KDB just before Southampton's penalty was just as much a penalty as any awarded to Liverpool or the rags this season.
That action is called a hand off in rugby and is legitimate in that sport only. How does the ref think Bernie defied gravity after Zin had let the ball go over his head?
Why does var come to such quick decisions against City when at other times play is stopped for several minutes as they try to find an angle to support the desired decision?
It's good old fashioned match fixing and neutrals should wake up to what is going on.
I woke up 4 years ago and walked away from funding the Premier corrupt pot.others laughed.( thanks anthony taylor City vChelsea at home).........Now,its hard to find a City fan who doesnt think the game is corrupt....now that everyone has had stay at home and rely on tv,and can now see the rotten theatre dressed up as Top class Football..it begs the question.....What took you so long??

Yes we all love the game, but surely you would want to see fair game?
Its time to stand up and shout it out.its rotten to the core.
All these 0-0 and 9-0 scorelines.
Bizzare.
Any sound minded Football Fan would have seen the appointment of jon Moss for this game, and feared the worst.
We were not disappointed!!
When you think back to that cheating barstool Bruno1 pen at villa last season, when he threw himself to the ground in dramatic fashion to earn yet another penalty, with var in attendance...then compare and contrast to the Foden incident last night...with var in attendance, but mute....you surely must see whats going on here.

The biggest deceipt ,by far,tho...,must be City at Anfield last season where Var wasnt working....how convient. Michael Oliver? words fail me.

I,m sick of it.

I want the game i fell in love with back. Sick of the diving, feigning injury,
The betting syndicates, and clueless pundits, most of them who only work for tv to pay off their own huge gambling debts.
The game needs sorting out.

one thing that needs addressing is their penalty, hardly touched the 6foot6 player but threw himself back, that touch doesn't warrant a penalty or the action of summersaulting back like that cheating **** last night, however viewed in slow mo from var , he does put his hand on his shoulder there is contact , but really enough to haul down that fucking giant ?
