I suppose terrible ranks them quite high amogst Moss, Attwell , Atkinson ,Dean , and Mason.
I have said for years foreign referees need to be imported, but they would also be slaughtered by some.

When the ref ( sorry my memory for names is shit ) told the media that he had been told to change his report by PGMOL , he was dismissed as crank or liar iirc.

I believe he also lost his pension award .

That I presume is the kind of influence which means that the shit show is allowed to continue.

Apologies if it was quite a harsh post, but I’m genuinely flabbergasted that you rate Oliver.

His performance that day was up there with Atwell’s at Brighton & Atkinson’s vs United in 2018. He’s one of the worst out there in my opinion.

If I made 3 errors as bad as that in 90 mins at work, I’d sack myself! Or if I’d been advised to make such errors, I’d walk out of my job.
 
I am sadly under no illusions and realise that I am pissing into the wind in expecting anything to change as far as the corruption controlled by PiGMOL and their officials.

Money and greed being the driving force means that powerful pressure will be applied to anybody trying to whistle blow, and the same shit decisions favouring certain teams will continue to rip the heart and integrity out of the game.

I was comparing them to Moss, Dean , Mason etc.
I have repeatedly said foreign referees are better.
And they get slaughtered on here when City play.
Someone has to blow the whistle.

I genuinely believe that the PL use PiGMOL referee's to try and influence the outcome of certain games to protect their 'brand'.

I think Oliver is just as bad. Spineless **** who fears confrontation. Don’t think Pep rates him much either

Comparisons with the absolute fucking worst at their " profession " isn't much of an accolade though .

Asa. I think you will find that the majority of foreign refs are equally incompetent as ours. Their is a reason why you see the same 4 or 5 refs officiating in the semi final/finals of the Euro competitions. It's because most are just as bad.

Was I giving accolades. ?
A decent conversation would be nice.
The whole system of recruitment , training , assessment, progression needs an overhaul.
I don't think aggressive , pointless attacks on someone wanting to discuss referees is a way forward .
