ZERO contact from Cancelo. There looked to be a SLIGHT tug by Haaland just prior to that, but in the context of everything else Atwell gave all game absolutely nothing in it.

Up there with some of the worst refereeing this season.
Bewildering at best but totally shit in all honesty, which alas was completely missing.

Exactly. The refs try and give the opposition a chance and if it doesn't work, it's get forgotten about anyway. Then they try again in a few weeks at the next tough away fixture.

The fouls stats are totally meaningless as they don't include any where advantage is awarded and the game plays on. The way ref's apply advantage is usually pretty shocking too. Doesn't seem to matter most of the time where on the field of play a foul is but if the team retain possession then it's play on sometimes to the detriment of that team.

Absolutely agree.

We aren’t given fouls that we want through a false interpretation of the advantage rule. At times the free kick is exactly what we need & want but the ref waves play on. There was a decision where Haaland was smashed late after making the pass, the ref waves play on but KDB is isolated as Haaland is poleaxed.

That happens every game with every ref. If the same play had happened they’d get the free kick & we’d be forced to face another ball into the penalty area.

What made it worse a few seconds later they were in on our goal! Absolute bullshit, and the tv managed to show the replay which would have shown how bad a decision it was but then as Leeds were in our box the whole commentary swung to their attack and Cancelo was forgotten about. Absolute travesty if they’d scored.

The Cancelo "foul" was genuinely one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. It doesn't matter if we were 3-1 up or 10-0 down...It's a shocking decision.

He had the best view on the pitch looking straight at it, When you see decisions like that the first thing that springs to mind is "Corrupt".
