Ref Watch

Slight tug. Nothing more. No enough to warrant going down, and certainly didn't appear to stop him challenging for the ball. Cancelo was just too quick. It just gave the ref an excuse.

In the context of the whole game Atwell let a whole lot worse slide. The ONLY difference was City were in on goal.

We are defintely reffed in a different manner to other teams, and PiGMOL see no issues with it.

It happens too often to be dismissed as " one offs ".

We obviously don't complain like other managers do, but if we did the wankers would probably appoint even more inept officials for our audacity in expecting fairness and consistency.

Probably the worst performance so far this season. The Cancelo decision was just bizarre. I have said this previously. Been on loads of courses and remember Howard Webb saying that having possesion does not automatically constitute having an advantage. City seem to get load of advantages where we have a player down or on the edge of our box or even when we have 1 attacker onto 4 defenders. Also, his use of the cards was very questionable
The refereeing community have a habit of sticking together like shit to a blanket so I think this is a very interesting, honest and telling post, not to mention correct, though I would substitute the word "questionable" for "bent as a corkscrew".

The Cancelo decision was because Haaland pulled the defender who might have otherwise tackled Cancelo.
I thought at the time there must have been something which prevented the City players going ballistic about being wrongly denied a clear run on goal

Just shows sometimes we're a bit quick to jump on a particular decision as we're set to the refs a twat mode....don't get me wrong he was shit all game as is usual.

It's funny though that Haaland gets called for a slight touch as happened at the dips for our goal yet we can be fouled left right and centre with nothing happening.

It's so bent even the blind can see.

Grealish got kicked to death all night and Atwell wasn't the slightest bit interested in getting cards out.

You just knew the first challenge we made was going to end up in a yellow.

I don't care what anyone says, Atwell got told from whoever to Ref that game in the manner that he did, it was so obvious. Us scoring right before half time fucked it up for him as he changed his tune second half and reffed it completely different.

Seeing something as suspicious as it was unfold live makes you question yourself if you are paranoid or looking at it through blue specs but that was clear and obvious that he'd been instructed to ref it against us.

Teams are learning that more often than not, they can take one of our players out late and the ref will play the advantage and nothing happen. We're continuously having 4 man attacks reduced to 3 because of this 'advantage'. Then because the ref doesn't go back to book the player, they know they can continue like this. It's absolute crap.

There aren't generally too many individual horrendous mistakes to show up the bias. What we have instead are games reffed in a manner that suits the team we play against. As ever, we're up against it this season.

No yellows given after advantages, even the one where de Bruyne was hacked down after a pass to Haaland.

At one point in the game you saw Rico Lewis pass the ball and then weirdly jump in the air. That was because all game we had been clattered after we had released the ball, Rico was expecting the kick but for once it never came. Virtually every time we were fouled after passing it to a team mate, nothing was given.

Experience tells me that this is the correct mode in 99-999999999999999 recurring% of all cases.

What amuses me more than most with refs is the 'ease' with which they blow for a direct free kick outside the area but would need to have their bollocks in a vice to award the same if it occurred inside the area.

Pen for anyone else , on ffs , didnt even check it or if they did bent as fuck , getting pig sick of this shit , like they are trying to get a key player of ours out for the chavs , spurs and rags

I have always tried to get away from conspiracy theories but there has to be some serious letters put in about the officiating display with regards to the amount of added on time today! I am hoping the club and some people can tot up how much the ball was in play.

How did Pickford stop the game when two Everton players were "Down with cramp"
Ref forgot how to give advantage when we were in added time
The first 3 minutes of added time were Everton making subs and time wasting out of play but yet we still finished at 11 minutes?
Pickford should have been booked at least 5 times for time wasting
Haaland was literally bleeding from the neck and the replays are showing Everton players hanging off his neck at Corners which VAR is completely blind to.
Grealish was running towards our goal trying to retain possession and got pushed in the back, not once but twice!!!!! And still nothing was given.
Ref completely forgot about his yellow cards in the second half when Everton were committing cynical fouls literally every time we had the ball in possession.

Ughhhh..... it is New Years Eve and I am going to try and think about this tomorrow but I am sure I could find at least 30 individually ridiculous officiating decisions throughout the game.
