I don’t like it on principle but I’ve got no issue with VAR tonight. I do with the referee though.
you hear a whistle being blown but that could have been added to the sound after the original incident. how come the in match commentators thought he had given a goal initially. haaland did not handball itYou can hear him blow his whistle as Haaland is running off to celebrate and the spurs fans cheering.

As ‘ advised’ by VARI despise VAR. Not sure why it’s to blame for tonight though, the ref ruled it out.

Because they were complete idiots. Even the graphics had “checking disallowed goal”. Watch the goal back, you can see Mcatee realising it’s been disallowed.
Not sure what you mean by added to the sound, you could hear it live.

Just watched it again on MOTD and the referee does indeed blow his whistle but only by the time Haaland was sliding on his knees down near the corner flag. If he saw the handball why didn't he blow instantly, before Haaland went past both players, took an extra touch to take it away from a lunging tackle and then slip it past the keeper and then run over to the corner flag. He had time to think to himself was it - wasnt it, was it - wasn't it, was it - wasn't it and that was just whilst Haaland was barging his way through and then he had time to think fish and chips on the way home or a kebab, maybe a maccy d's? ahhh fuck it time to blow and rule it out!

The ref made a call he didn’t need to…
VAR made a call no evidence of handball so you can disallow it for handball…. There was no evidence it could hit Haaland below the sleeve because it didn’t.
None of those calls make sense, it won’t even make the news, which makes it a safe decision to make.
