Referees’ Performances | 2024/2025

For me, the only way it's going to stop is for Pep and City officials to take the players off

What could they do ? Manchester City and Pep would be right because it was a major mistake and clearly cheating

A hypothetical scenario but we know what the outcome would possibly have been but it doesn’t stop City going hell for leather at PGMOL wanting answers to questions about this decision and that they made a huge mistake.
The non award of a Rangers ‘goal’ at Hibs and then the Henderson handball. Two shockers in one day, in 2025

Saying we got a soft pen, the same pen United and the dippers get repeatedly without the press questioning

It wasn't even a soft pen, there have been multiple penalties given in the last 2 seasons where the defender clips the ball but it doesn't change direction and cleans the man out.

The rules state that isn't sufficient contact to be a good tackle and it's a penalty every time.

I’m incredibly pissed off atm so my judgment is at best questionable.

But while the game was on I thought city should release a statement if we lost denouncing the PGMOL Twatwell and every other **** official involved in that decision and make it clear if them officials were to be involved in one of our games in future we would simply boycott the game.

Then see what the powers that be do.

It’s beyond a joke how many huge decisions go against us and have done for years across European and domestic competitions.

They hate us, they hate our owners and they want us to lose.
They’re cheats.

I struggled to carry on taking the game seriously after that.

Jared Gillett bottled it because he didn't want to ruin the game, which isn't the responsibility of the official.

Its basically another form of match fixing.

We were poor in front of goal but ultimately that decision cost us today.

If we were 1-0 up and Ortega did that, as the out and out favourites the officials wouldn't have thought twice about the red.

Clearly, something has got to give with Manchester City vs the Officials

Enough is enough, and it's time to call them out, Walk off the field make it a major talking point, Clearly a Major mistake by VAR officials in a FA Cup Final, This is what VAR was brought into football to stop the on field referee from missing a major error in the game,

Is it a major error or is it cheating

I agree but the media are saying it was soft and we got it to even up for the Henderson non Red

One of the most inexplicable decisions I have ever seen. Without that illegal hand, Haaland will lob the goalkeeper. He even has started to raise his boot to do just that. It doesn't matter whether he would have scored or not. To argue it was not a clear goal scoring opportunity is comparable to flat earthism

As I was always told, it doesn't have to be a nailed on goal, it just needs to be an opportunity!!!!!

Sorry haven't read any comments. But that was a fucking disgrace. Even without the obvious red card for Henderson. he was clearly out of his depth. And he's a wanker, only got the job for one reason, he hates city.

Deliberate handball outside the box as a forward is just about to toe it past you for a clear shot on goal. Yes there was a covering defender but if Haaland goes around him it’s surely would have been classed as a clear goal scoring opportunity. How did the ref or liner not see it originally and how can VAR not do its job. Can’t wait to see how Webb and PGMOL spin this one.
Already spun it “was going wide” Yes, after Henderson palmed it away from him

Pretty much every fan and pundit acknowledged it was not just a red, but one of the most obvious reds you'll see. The 'mitigation' of Erling being pushed out wide and hence, not a clear goalscoring opportunity is hilarious as the handball is why he was pushed out wide. The Rashford goal and this are two of the most egregious examples of, at best, gross incompetence and at worst, gross negligence
