ITK Refree on PGMOL being secretive and unaccountable -

Not sure how it can be said to be secretive or unaccountable. It certainly was under Riley's charge, but we now have decisions explained with the actual audio, and if they get it wrong they say as much. If they were allowed to they would broadcast the audio live, but IFAB won't let them.

I meant generally. Given this wasn't a PGMOL appointment I very much doubt the head of PGMOL would apologise.

Does this ITK have issues that Mrs Howard Webb oversees the female refs?

I certainly do.

I can accept mistakes, but VAR is there to correct mistakes is it not.
The ref & assistant clearly didn’t see it, and VAR should’ve told the ref it was handball outside the penalty box and possibly a red card so he could go and look at the monitor to decide for himself as he is the one reffin’ the game after all.
If 2 people looking at monitors with umpteen angles couldn’t see what the rest of the world could see perfectly clearly then you have to call that into question, either at the time by their boss who would surely be there to oversee it or afterwards by investigation if he wasn’t. Which leaves them with a problem, which they have chosen to brush under the carpet which cannot be anything other than blatant incompetence or corruption, so it should not be going away.

MCFC deal with it or lose fans because of it, it’s that serious for me. Somebody needs their arses slapping for it.

I've watched football for seven decades and I defy anyone to distinguish between a ref making a mistake and a ref not applying the LotG as they are written. If VAR is not permitted to blow down the ref's ear when he has not seen something and the lino is puffing like a fuckin' steam engine trying to keep up and there is a game changing incident, what is the fuckin' use of VAR.

My initial thoughts were the same. The ref is in charge of the game. He should have been advised to go to the screen, and if not why not? Bent as fuck they are.
 
We won't get an apology because to apolgise is to admit and accept they made a mistake. This wasn't a mistake, make no bones about it, this was done on purpose. We are at war with the premier league over the 115 charges and yes, there is a direct and essential correlation between the Premier League and PGMOL. The Premier League and PGMOL are intrinsically linked, with PGMOL being the body that manages and provides match officials for all Premier League games. PGMOL is funded by the Premier League, the English Football League (EFL) and the Football Association (FA), highlighting the Premier League's direct financial and operational involvement.

Nobody will convince me otherwise that a quiet word off the record between the two parties to screw us where possible has taken place. How else can they get at us if they can't make their charges stick? They won't make it too obvious and without going over the top they will just do enough to make us falter and stumble. To suggest anything otherwise I find is knaieve at best. It's completely idiotic to think anything else and oh so trusting of an organisation that is doing its utmost to find us guilty in full view of the watching football world and to make themselves look proffessional, competent and efficient in their charges.

If we had won we would have called it out. Anything we say now will come across as bitter, the big bad City can't take defeat on the chin without whingeing. So we suck it up and become more dogged and determined in our fight to prove our innocence.

Don't let the bastards grind us down!

Why did VAR intervene? The ref missed the incident? He gave a throw in to Palace ffs. VAR then intervened and said there was a check. Attwell didn’t go to the screen, so this was a debate exclusively within the VAR room - which we can only assume started with a debate about issuing a red card - otherwise why intervene - and ended with no action. You have got to wonder why City haven’t asked to hear what was said in the VAR room to account for such a poor decision and an ultimately pointless process.

I’m no Dermot Gallagher fan - thought he was a poor ref but, credit to him here he calls it as it was and it’s incredible how Webb et al have been able( or allowed) to remain silent.

I just don’t understand why we are sitting on our hands and saying nowt, it’s corruption in front of the whole world. F*** sucking it up Blue2112, we have them bang to rights, I can’t believe we don’t have investigators attached to our owners to dig this shit up and shut it down, it’s a golden opportunity.

The trouble is, if Dermot sided with VAR on this occasion, he would look a bigger **** than he already is. Not even Dermot is that thick to say something against what is evidently wrong. You can tell by the way they are all shuffling about and the pregnant pauses, that there are as nonplussed with the decision as the rest of us. EMBARASSING. It's quite clear Erling was facing slightly away from goal, as he needed to avoid Henderson, or he would have ploughed into him. Furthermore, you can see he was about to lift the ball over him with the outside of his left foot in order to round him.

I have absolutely no doubt the hierarchy at City are very aware of what is going on and will have made their feelings aware to the appropriate people. It may be a reason as to why there has been no public apology. Like you I/we all want to see a backlash from City but like it or not it's not the way our owners do things. I hope therefore we are at least playing the long game and in time will play our cards.

Sometimes not all consequences are seem or heard by everyone and especially to the general public. I used to manage 80 people, the amount of whingeing that went on was unreal. Why have they got away with this or that when I haven't etc. What often is said in public is not always what is said in private and peoples actions and reactions are very much the opposite when it comes to having a quiet word in the office from full earshot of everyone else.

I get that but it would be good for the fans as well to see us come out swinging, or see Pep take a fine for saying we don’t want that ref anywhere near our games ever again, fill us with pride.
Enough is enough of this shit, it makes me ill stressing with it, I had to turn the cup final off ffs.

If watching a football match stresses you that much that you have to turn it off, you should probably find something less stressful.

Corrupt or otherwise, and I think it is, luckily for the most part we're still too good for them.
