Which the linesman missed. The ref missed the penalty.
I think you'll find that the thread title is "Referees/Officials 2017/18 performances". The linesman is, I understand, deemed to be an "Official" for the purposes of this thread. They are therefore BOTH responsible for not giving the decision to stop play for a player being offside, as they are supposedly working as a team. The penalty appeal would not have even needed to be considered had the first decision been adjudicated correctly.

To sum up, they're either shit or bent!

I'm a fully paid up member of the football is fixed club mate, make no mistake about that.

Today i saw a ref who tried to give them free kicks at every opportunity while ignoring foul after foul on us.

I use the word incompetent because i cant quite believe he didn't seize the chance to give them the goal when Eddie got fouled as well as the penalty shout they had but he more than made up for it by awarding them a free kick when Raz recklessly and deliberately got both his legs taken away from him in the box.

Thankfully we are that good we get past it most weeks but now and then it does beat us, especially so in Europe where UEFA took over from PiGMOL with ease against the Dippers with 2 of the worst/bent ref performances i've ever seen at that level.

Expect the exact same again next year as VAR has been fucked off at the behest of the rags and co as well as bookies the world over and PiGMOL use the time they have left to make as much money as possible.
Lump on Liverpool to win the league

Dog shit refereeing and linesmamship. Astounding really. Good job we're so good it doesn't really matter *.
(* Except when playing in knock-out competitions.)

The officiating today was bordering on criminal , how many times did West Ham players go unpunished for fouls and the penalty on Sterling was diabolical , the fact we won 4-1 despite the ofiicials just shows how good this team is , the saving grace is that over 38 games we have time to turnaround horrendous referee performances unfortunately as we have found out , when 4 or 5 decisions go wrong in a quarter final , it is impossible to turn over that amount of bias

The denied pen on Sterling was identical to the one on him not given at Klanfield. And double the number of fouls when we have 75% of the ball????

I also enjoyed the Ya Ya free kick near the end, when Swarsbrick walked back 8 paces instead of 10, and then after the West Ham players had near enough got into position just in front of him, walked back around in front of them (and thereby knocking another yard off) to draw his line. Surprise, surprise, Ya Ya's shot then hit the wall!
