In the build up to the 'penalty' two West Ham player were clearly offside.

Irrelevant, his linesman was at fault there. However, it was a penalty.

Irrelevant? His linesman was the man who should have given the penalty also. So he was at fault twice. So we can take that back to the offside and 'hey presto!', it's no longer 'irrelevant'.

We're talking about the ref being incompetent or not. The linesman is a different matter (he was definitely incompetent,).

Both incompetent. The ref should be seeing those pens.

Standard of reffing in this country is terrible

That is amazing. What was our possesion ? Oh and don't forget one of the 5 fouls was the hack on Kev early on which the ref thought just a word was ok !!
