I for one hate wrong decisions, especially against us, but we are overcoming them hard as they might try. That game was lost through the two goals we gifted them, this has been a fantastic season. So lets not dwell on the odd negative incident, lets leave that to Pep and the players to sort out by overcoming it with better play, cos lets face it, even a small amount of improvement and next season will be even better.

Stones makes two mistakes. Firstly, he slightly misjudged the path and weighting of the ball. Secondly, he doesn't go down under the challenge. If he's goes down, it's almost certainly a free kick. Both mistakes show a touch of naivety
If it had been otamendi, he'd have gone down and rolled over thst many times, by the time he'd gotten up, he'd have been back in Manchester.

Bang on! We just get a load of shite excuses to bend the rules already set in place when a ref gets it wrong for us. In this country pundits and journos only admit the ref was wrong to give a decision against City when they pretty much have to and even then they downplay it("oh refs have it hard though, they need more help"). When we get a correct decision that changes a game see how they react, case in point: Mané red card UK sports media have a 3 week long moan about the ref when he got it spot on for a number of reasons.It wasn't a foul because Stones wasn't strong enough.
It wasn't a penalty because Ashley Young got some of the ball.
It wasn't a goal because Sane was stood in an offside position when the ball came off Milner.
etc. etc.
A deliberate push in the back is foul full stop, nothing to do with how much force they use or how strong someone is, it's considered an act of foul play if they gain an advantage from it which he did. End of story.

Yes, he initially said it was okay because it was shoulder to shoulder, but then when told that still frames from a different angle indisputably showed it was shoulder to back, he stuck with his decision, but just changed his reason for it being a foul.Peter Walton claiming it's a shoulder to shoulder though. This is typical of most referees at all levels of the game - they see an incident in real time, possibly from a dodgy angle, and make an instant, gut decision. This is based on their interpretation of the laws of the game as well as conscious or subconscious biases, but once they've made a decision, they essentially invent a narrative to support it. And rather than revisit the decision in the light of new evidence, they simply change the narrative.

That will be the narrative Dermot goes with when he does his did the ref get it right bit on Sky tomorrow lol.
Mason also was surrounded by furious Chelsea players at half time. Chelsea won a corner, he allowed the player to go and put the ball in the circle to take tbe corner, then blew for half time and not letting them take the corner kick.

Why were the laws of the game particularly time wasting, injury time and kicking the ball away not carried out correctly last night. Another example of refs doing what they want to suit them and their paymasters
