You are right about that.
The PL do not help either by telling them that they have to interpret certain laws different to every other country. For instance, at the start of the season, the new handball interpretation which has now been changed back to what it was last year.
I also know that PL refs have been told to turn a deaf ear to foul or abusive language. A few PL refs alwys used the excuse they had not heard it because of the crowd. What is the excuse now then? Jack Grealish blatantly told the assistant to "fcuk off" last night & not a thing done about it.
A diificult job obviously made harder by the " powers that be " continually changing the directives to the point that supporters are clearly confused about what the correct rule applies, which untimately leads to criticism of the refs and their decision making.
I respect your opinion in reply to my question but find it hard to accept that the rags have been awarded so many penalty decisions correctly, and also many of the penalty decisions the dippers were awarded coutesy of Salah etc which imo were clear dives.
In my opinion those two teams get many favourable decisions which other teams do not, and is one of the main reasons for the rags being where they currently are .
