Referees' Performances | 2025/26

I find CL games are generally like that and refs aren't the star of the show unlike the PL. They let the game flow and let players make challenges. Much prefer referees and VAR in Europe these days than the prem.
There's letting the game flow and there's waiting until the 41st minute before awarding city a free kick for a foul. Not sure playing advantage was required when we are pinned by our own corner flag. I thought this guy was every bit as poor as the one on Saturday.
6 substitutes, 1 goal should equal approximately 4 minutes injury time.
Not that any of this matters considering our performance.

Whilst I agree, about his performance, 3 of the subs were at half time TBH the final whistle couldn't come quick enough last night

There was a big difference to that **** on Saturday letting Newcastle kick the shit out of us for 90 minutes to the ref last night letting quite a lot of 50/50s go that in the prem would be generally given.

As for time added on, there were only 2 sub stoppages in the second half, no injuries and one goal. Two minutes was about right.

Of course I completely forgot city made 3 subs at half time. Used to Pep not making any until 70+ minutes

Has there been a key match incidents panel since the weekend? Considering how universally bad the ref did, I expected them to convene and discuss the offside, pens etc

More a general gripe than specific refs (and in full understanding that our corners are shite) but we seemingly don't get the decisions at either end for corners. Arsenal have been allowed to usher in the nonsense where keepers can be fouled but on attacking corners, Haaland is constantly wrestled off the ball & Dias was headlocked to the ground. Not saying it's a conspiracy or anything but it just adds to my hatred of our set pieces
