Referees' Performances | 2025/26

Just googling the Scouse bastard.

He's barred from reffing Liverpool and Everton games.

So he supports one of them.

Yet he can influence other games....
*Ponders*

His performance today would have made that other Scouse bastard Peter Walton proud.

We might need to get another dossier together to remove him.

If you are referring to Nunes and Doku they were completeley different imo.

Nunes was stupid and it was unnecessary and Doku was looking for the foul.

Ref was shit though.

DCL went into Nunes with the same force, that's bullshit.

The refs are consistently inconsistent but we used to be so much better in attack and defense that no officials could stop us, even if they were biased.

I'm sick of the players complaining on the pitch. Or Pep. Be better at your own job and forget about others being better at their jobs.

Players have to remonstrate to try and get the next fine margin decision. Basic human psychology.

It’s a pantomime now these days though.

It’s all part of the “every decision goes against us” angle that every club and its supporters believe is true.
IMO they are wasting energy complaining instead of rallying the troops to cut out any further lack of focus. Just stop fucking up, fannying about and chickening out. Show some balls, sprint, tackle and take chances in attack. Ffs its not rocket science..... boom!

I agree, but players can influence officials if done correctly.

Fan forums less so, but we’re a group of invested and biased individuals. Any debatable decision that goes against us is obviously corruption.

If Bankes had wanted to really infuriate today, he’d have disallowed Gvardiol’s goal on field for Bernardo’s interference. It wouldn’t have been overturned.

He maybe didn't see it, but if he did, he should have, that var looked at it, and didn't see any issue, shows everything that is wrong with var.
Maybe. He could have just blown though for a foul. It happens all the time.

Fans of all clubs mould marginal decisions as corruption and/or cheating.

Refs are fucked anyway. If someone was to trawl back through this whole thread, it’d be 99% calling refs out.

Calling the refs corrupt is a sure fire way of fans agreeing on a partisan social media forum. There’s no positive outcome in trying to dispute that.

Simon is trying it now. I tried back in the day, but recognised that people don’t want rational debate. They want reassurance that it was a bent decision and that we’re treated differently.

As are the 19 other PL teams on their message boards.

Watching this match now, and I’ll tell you — she’s a shit-ton better than most of the slow, slobbering hacks the Prem has on offer. Hasn’t put a step wrong. She knows where to be on the pitch, knows what a foul is, is consistent, knows when to give cards, and doesn’t take any shit from the players. Bring her over.

PiGMOL is run by the old boys network. They couldn't possibly allow a woman to show them up for the shit-show they are.

Same ref who refused us a blatant penalty for a foul on Bobb v Spurs. PGMOL not being subtle anymore. Every week we get a stinking performance by officials.

That **** today revelled in being the centre of attention pantomime villain, he played on it and the more we booed the worse he got. He will be given the cup final for that performance
Summed up at the end. It’s 11 minutes into ten minutes of added time and only the ref knows when he’s going to call time. So if he knew he was going to blow as soon as the Leeds keeper launched the free kick, why force him back five yards to where the free kick was awarded.

Special breed this Peter Banks fella.

If the game is to win free kicks by falling to the floor with any brief touch from an opponent (like many teams seem capable of doing) then we’ve tried that.

Doesn’t work for some reason.

If the game is to follow through on your opponent after they have played the ball time and time again without a yellow card then we can’t seem to do that either.

If you think we’re being refereed the same then I don’t know what you are watching.

Those VAR cartoon pictures - what generates them?
If it's AI then why do they take so long?
If they're man-made then what's the point?

I personally think that they were introduced to give the impression that a semi-automatic VAR has got it all under control, there's something deeply suspicious about them.

Due to the coordinated spoiling of our club's reputation, referees can make decisions against us without fear of ANY backlash from media or fans. Zero.
They are in the novel situation of having a "free hit" when reffing us.
Conversely, any gamesmanship that we copy from other teams (faking injury, time-outs, cynical fouling, keeper wasting time, etc) is highlighted like we invented it.
It's a form of bullying, and it is endemic in all areas of media and society. Just look at other fan forums and BBC HYS's, truly extraordinary.
This is the price we are already paying, for the charges.
