Referees' Performances | 2025/26

Pep booked celebrating a goal??????

Apart from the corner they shouldn't have had, Haaland being held for 90 minutes & stopping play to book their keeper he was fantastic.

It's a low bar but one of the best performances of the season from the wanker in the black.

Kepa should've been sent off, but he probably did us a favour with that one.

Cant complain about the ref too much today (hence we won).

How about ruling that if the keeper fouls or handles anywhere outside his box hes automatically sent off.

Would be super straight forward to ref.

No need for the "scoring chance/going away from goal/covering player" etc grey area that gets wheeled out when it suits.

Of course, it means taking away some "control" of the situation from var/pigmol, so wont happen.

Bar the corner that shouldn’t have been he was very good. No one would’ve seen that faint touch so I’ll forgive him for that.

He seemed to let a lot of challenges go that pissed Arsenal players off so not complaining

Interesting snippet from 58 secs onwards where there was a bit of handbags, no surprise that Joelintin was involved but Taylor brings the two two captains together and tells them that he should have carded two other players (he showed a yellow to the defender who committed the foul) but didn't and he wants them as captains to take control of their teams. Sounds great in theory but in practice two players avoided a card and that is how it refs manipulate games.

This is how refs use to work They are there to manage the game some refs think they do so by waving cards around So, for me well done

100%

My lads game at the weekend.......my lad got roasted down the wing, pulled the winger back, absolutely should have been a yellow.

Other team complained....... ref said let one of yours go, let one of theirs go. Next one is a yellow.

Might not be right in laws, but in context of reffing a game I think was spot on.

(Didn't see their yellow though tbf)
