But in the first half he allowed play to carry on despite the offside being even clearer. I was at the game and had a good view of them all. I thought that Harland might have been offside but it was much closer than any he let play on before. It’s
It’s far more likely that in the split second the linesman had to make the call that he was more certain Haaland was offside that he should have been.
He should have let both attacks play out, but didn’t, most likely because he was more certain than he should have been that he was offside. But in the first half he allowed play to carry on despite the offside being even clearer. I also think the direction of travel by the attacker had something to do with it. Haaland was edging backwards to try to get back onside whereas the Bournemouth attacker was running towards goal.He should have let both attacks play out, but didn’t, most likely because he was more certain than he should have been that he was offside.
They’re split second decisions.
Worth a watch (if you have the time). Seem to have been on the right side of most decisions this year. Apparently he’s making a part 2 as some were missed also.
Guess you could do this with every time in the league as there’s always going to be mistakes.
But the shear number of decisions in their favour is ridiculous. I don’t want to spout that it’s bent or corrupt but with videos like this, it’s hard to blame people who think it could be.
But only going one way.He should have let both attacks play out, but didn’t, most likely because he was more certain than he should have been that he was offside.

That penalty nearly hit me, hence my homage to him.But only going one way.
Your posts lately are more than Alan Harper's penalty than Alan Harper's Tash.

So why have Var ?He should have let both attacks play out, but didn’t, most likely because he was more certain than he should have been that he was offside.

Short arsed linesman he is part of Toni Twat Taylor’s team representing England FA at World Cup flop in North AmericanWe've seen Ederson and defenders injured because the linesman refused to flag a clear offside and yet, in such an important match, he flags straight away.
Bent.
Delayed flag as it’s called is a superb weapon in influencing gamesSo why have Var ?
City players have been injured when a linesman refused to flag a clearly offside player.
This one has been debated , by you and others, for several pages so it is clearly a very close call.
And yet, with Haaland clear through on goal, he flagged.
Bent, inconsistent, unprofessional. Which ever one you want, it is a very poor decision but we have become used to them.
The fact is was a “split second” means he should have delayed his flag which he did twice in the first half for balmy offsides one resulting in Guehi getting a knockIt’s

There should be a simple protocol re linesmen flagging for offside. It seems to me there are several protocols and I would suspect that certain teams get 'treated' to a specific one depending on what the preferred outcome was likely to be. "Haaland tear-arsing towards the Bournemouth goal, only the goalie to beat! Hey up, we'll put a stop to that!" I've seen every home game this season and I don't recall any lino immediately flagging for an offside, the play is allowed to carry on and then I'm yelling at the lino if he's not gonna stick his flag up in the air he might as well stick it up his arse for the good he's doing. So why have Var ?

Will he send Gabriel off and give Palkace a "brave" penalty?
I’m not sure anyone is suggesting otherwise. The fact is was a “split second” means he should have delayed his flag

That would be even more laughable than all the others they didn’t give
