In spite of my disdain for Farage and everything he stands for, I think taking up insults he said when he was at school is a pointless exercise. The use of racist and homophobic language amongst teenagers in the 1970s was fairly widespread and Farage is far from unique. The difference is that most people grow out of that sort of behaviour but in Farage’s case it just evolved into him remaining a racist **** but having the intelligence to introduce plausible deniability into his true attitudes. His record as an MEP and MP should be enough to consign him to the political wilderness.Squirming on the hook isn’t he?
It’s plain as day, that he did the things the 20 classmates say he did, and he is trying to answer all round the edges of the question.
Journalists need to keep on with this line, as well as Russian money / Nathan Gill. The fact his unemployed girlfriend bought a £900k house has gone away.
He's on the ropes, and the worrying thing is , if he goes there is no credible opposition to the government. Tories are done. Reform will go. The country needs good, fair opposition.
Who would oppose Labour (and I say this as a Labour voter)?!
