Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

Has Grimes stopped the boats yet?

Its been revealed that he got his mum and brother to be "paper" candidates for Reform in two wards ( a practise all Reform candidates were encouraged to do ) and both were elected.
Seen a video Grimes and friends will use in their battle to stop the boats!! Instead of highlighting our very kind French friends potentially saving lives. In the video it shows a French coastguard ship that was kindly escorting a migrant dinghy type boat from France when they noticed most of the migrants dint have life jackets on. So they sent a fast moving small rescue boat to give them all the life jackets they needed. How kind and caring the French are 1/ Escorting the desperate young men in the dingy to the safety of British waters 2/ Supplying safety jackets 3/ Also asking our Border force, if they would kindly get them back off the migrants.4/ All this shows is the millions we give the French is well used to save lives. God bless France!! Let’s hope one day all this stops when it becomes a “ Safe Country “ and those poor migrants can settle there.

You're not answerable to anybody but to constantly post absolute rubbish off dodgy socially media sites that suits your agenda makes you look daft.

I double check and verify what I post - what you are doing is the "fake news" agenda because it doesn't quite fit with what you believe

two things

1/ there is no requirement for anyone to stay in the first "safe country" they enter under any international law or treaty.

2/ when you copy and paste something thats in numbered segments it doesn't break down like this post it is like your cut and shut job above. Put the effort in to "clean up" somebody else's post before you present it as your own work or try having an original thought.

Yes.
Although I'm now beginning to think a coalition isnt such a bad thing.
It's just that those on the continent who usually had such things weren't very stable

Not a big fan of PR or coalitions. Seems to me the problem with the UK isn't FPTP, it's the God awful quality of politicians.

I'm not sure it's any better in the US tbh, but at least there is still some sort of aura around politicians there that they are somehow better than ordinary people. For historical reasons, I suppose. In the UK, that idea was flushed down the toilet generations ago.

Someone suggested a few days ago that maybe democracy had had it's time as the least bad option. I don't know, but it's hard to see how the UK can sort its problems out with such a generally disinterested population and such a poor leadership "class".

Though there was a lot of politicking it was always portrayed here that the British peacekeeping force meant there was a successful transition with "only" a very small number of murders after the Bush War ceasefire, were your neighbours targeted/unlucky or I have misunderstood quite how violent the transition was? Ignore me if I'm asking intrusive questions, I'm just curious.
No definitely targeted. Another family who lived near us were on a small plane going to a family members funeral in Salisbury when their plane got hit by a heat seaking missile

Proportional representation often means nothing gets done, everything is blocked. The Swiss canton system is better where controls (including most taxes) are localised in the cantons and only major national decisions are made by the federal council

Good point. The Swiss rely a lot on referenda, though. Not sure that would work in the UK .... No reason :)

Yes but the majority of there referenda are clear and concise and the majority get there wishes unlike our referenda where the parliamentarians get to block the will of the majority of voters or move the goalposts / blur the lines after the vote.
