and some are just professional - professional racists
These people are assuming responsibility for multi-million in some cases billion pound budgets - I feel sorry for those about to be hit by a shit storm of authority paralysed with fear - we those who didn't vote Reform. Those who did you are about to experience what farming and fishing did post Brexit as a rsult of backing knuckleheads
Didn't you read?Come on! The labour council went out and mortgaged our town upto the hilt with no business expertise on so called investments that are now worth considerably less than what they bought them for, that's the reality.
Why are you defending the indefensible?
you have decided that they're not fit for purpose before they've even got their feet under the desk. My post was specifically about the labour shit show in Warrington that has left the town in £1.8 billion of debt, you don't want to discuss this, why not?I consider you to be placing your trust in probably the single largest group in number of people who are completely unqualified and uneducated in the task they are facing and thinking that somehow they are the answer to your prayers.
You said decades of Labour have done what they have done and thats with councillors who understand the running of local Govt. There have been a number of resignations already - elected councillors stating they need to go away and read the Reform manifesto as they don't understand what they stood for - elected councillors begging for outgoing councillors for advice on what the role entails and there are 2 19 year olds fresh out of public schools put in charge of Adult Social Care with a budget of over £400m pa. Its ok though because central govt actually sets the policy care and they lack the necessary qualifications to legally take up their roles. And you assume thats the recipe for success?
Anyway about that bridge I have various designs available from a small stone bridge designed to span a stream or beck to allow pack horses to cross up to a full suspension bridge it just depends on how much you want to spend .......

This doesn't answer the question raised and inform us as to why you are not willing to discuss the £1.8bn debt in Warrington as referred to by @tweety does it?Yes I am because they are run by an autocrat who is making suggestions that undermine anything they can actually do most of the rest of the things they think they can do is not a local councillors job. The idea that at a first meeting of a newly elected council when the ruling Reform Party were asked where was their agenda so it could be debated they suggested the council look at the " contract with the people" on the Reform UK website which had been a national agenda that had been discontinued by Farage himself 2 moths earlier shows what a shit show they are. Wait to hear how Reform in landlocked Leicestershire will attempt to get "stop the boats" into a council debate on dog poo bag bin provision to see what they really are.
He's a left wing nutcase like a lot on here. They never want to engage in discussion and are never wrong. The literal frothing at the mouth regarding Reform who don't have a track record because they've just been formed is quite shocking. This doesn't answer the question raised and inform us as to why you are not willing to discuss the £1.8bn debt in Warrington as referred to by @tweety does it?
This is just a rant about a Political Party you happen to disagree with.

Whoops!....
But it makes you wonder what the reform candidates were telling the electorate with regards to what was actually achievable if they didn't know how the system works.I've got to say, I think he's being a bit disingenuous with all the patronising comments.
Clearly it's not Reform's fault that people voted them in to run Councils, and frankly the fact they're admitting they need help is a good thing. A little modesty is pretty astonishing, in a party that is run by Nigel Farage.
It's also clearly nothing like "replacing all the managers in a business", or "replacing the managers in a retail business with taxi drivers". A Council is managed by the people who work there, and most things would run quite well without the input of Councillors.
Of course, it's possible for Councillors to do damage to a local area, or to make a real difference - but I suspect in the short term, the most likely outcome is that they simply find they can't do very much at all, and if they do try and do anything dramatic, they'll quickly discover get bogged down in 'advice' from the actual managers.
You're right. But it makes you wonder what the reform candidates were telling the electorate with regards to what was actually achievable if they didn't know how the system works.

I like it when you two come together. It’s like Hawk and Animal of the Legion of Doom taking on the bloody woke mob. He's a left wing nutcase like a lot on here. I'm an average working class man who's now retired and in all my time I've never come across people like this, is it just an internet thing?
Anyway it's still 'crickets' about labour in Warrington.
I think that message would have been quite simple....But it makes you wonder what the reform candidates were telling the electorate with regards to what was actually achievable if they didn't know how the system works.
Farage and Tice have this week declared null and void any participation in certain debates for Reform candidates - if they can be arsed turning up and have an understanding of the process. On Net Zero for instance both have said there will be no Net Zero advances under Reform. A company applies for permission to put up wind turbines of solar panels. Saying you don't believe in Net Zero or its against your Party policy is not a valid reason to decline a development. They will need to come up with specific reasons as to why that development should be declined and under what legal provision. In a majority Reform area they can just push it through anyway but that just gives carte blanche for the developer to appeal on the grounds that they were prejudiced in making their decision based on the fact it was done on National Party Policy beliefs as shown by the utterances of Tice and Farage and that there was no valid legal case to deny permission and there will be a resubmission which will either have to be accepted OR at great cost there will be a merry-go round of legal action at great cost to the local tax payer for an eventual loss. Those same tax payers will then have to be told parking in the High St is now £2 per hour instead of 50p and bin collections will be monthly to pay for it all........
When the council is paying £0000s in legal fees for each case, when the authority does not have a pot to piss in, they will soon realise the folly of their ways.
Imagine not wanting anything to improve the environment. It's just plain stupid
Just a reminder that you assumed the defeated councillor was "Not very community minded". Where was that said?Where is that said?
Anyone starting a new job, particularly in a new organisation will need some kind of induction and get shown "the ropes" so to speak... unless you already know everything like many on here appear to?
I just don't get where applying for a job and not knowing what it is comes from.
