Yet again Arsenal get a penalty and opposition player sent off as last man..
So why didnt we get the same decision against leicester.??

I have still to hear a valid reason as to why the leicester player didnt walk..

said the exact same thing while watching the leicester game

to be honest though, im not in favour of this last man thing.....by the rules i the guy at leicester should have been sent off, but im glad he wasnt.....

i think the rule was origionally there to stop the blatant cheating and cynical fouls when a player is through on goal...the leicester incident was the player making a last ditch genuine challenge for the ball, which he completely missed as tev sent him the wrong way,but in my view it wasnt cynical...as he made a genuine attempt for the ball

i dont know if anyone remember the incident vs chelski a couple of years back, when i think it was Jo that was clean through on goal (just past the half way line) and Terry dragged him back and was then sent off.....to me that is what the last man rule was brought in for (the real annoying thig there was that red card was recinded!!!!!....Terry knew what he was doing in that incident..he made no atttempt for the ball!)

I havent seen the latest arsenal incident.

i think the rule needs looking at again, especially in terms of the keepers

If they stop this rule then there will cynical fouls each week in the box, penalties can be saved or missed- players sent off cannot be replaced.

Re: Refs and consistency..

How many times does it need to be mentioned.. It is NOT "last man"!

It is "goalscoring opportunity".

At least argue about the right thing!

;-))

Re: Refs and consistency..

v Leicester, it didnt prevent a goalscoring opportunity cos the keeper was coming out to coverso no guarantee that Tevez would have scored. Wot annoys me is the inconsistency by the same ref in the same game - like Webb against Villa...and Twattenburg against Arse at home and the same idiot for Yoonited v Spuds at The Swamp...
