Not sure which thread this should be in, inevitably there's a bit of overlap.
I think we're running out of excuses on here now not to allow them refuge. We've had excuses like; the costs, the NHS being at breaking point already, lack of housing, they won't be able to work, they're only 'economic migrants' and my 2 favourites, more traffic on the roads and full trains. Now we're back to terrorism, that's why a distinction should be made between Muslims and terrorists. Just because they're religious it doesn't mean they automatically share the same 'Jihadists' ideology, I will add it has been mentioned on here that a fair few will probably be followers of the Christian faith. Besides I'm sure the refugees feel more terrorised than most on here could even begin to comprehend.
I think the fact the west has offered some support for these refugees, may help us to combat the propaganda that is peddled against us. When they see we do care it may deter some from becoming radicalised.
I also think the attacks we've already witnessed in Europe over the last few years (Paris, etc.) would suggest there are a willing number of European citizens who are more than willing to volunteer to commit atrocities in the name of terrorism, without the need to pose as refugees. Even the 7/7 bombers were British citizens.
I'm not saying there won't be radicalised refugees as part of the influx, there may well be those who have been brainwashed into thinking we're all Devils but hopefully our compassion may challenge their views.
