Refund if match is moved?

We sometimes drive to Preston saves an hour extra in the car and plenty trains from Preston to Piccadilly, you can park the car at Preston for £6 for 24 hours too!
You can park for free and overnight at Horwich Parkway just 20 mins past Preston and cheaper for the train as well. You also avoid the central Preston traffic nightmare.

So, if you buy an individual match ticket you can get a refund, provided you cancel ticket/apply for refund, at least 7 days in advance. However, if you purchase a ticket as ‘part of a bundle‘ you cannot get any refund.
Is this definitely true mate? Was thinking about maybe getting one for the dippers but when I work it's invariably away from home and can sometimes be for weeks at a time. Have no idea what I'll be doing in April next year or where I'll be. Been put off by not being able to stick them on the exchange or being able to transfer them.

If you don’t already….get a duo ticket on Northern rail when two people travel together, will save you 25% or if you’re a frequent train user get a two travel together railcard (now £24 on the website) which saves you a third.
Also, it might be worth checking prices from Lancaster, people sometimes go north (to Lancaster) to come back south because it’s a lot cheaper, mainly the London trains but it might be worth a look

If you buy now you are buying multiple individual tickets, they aren't a bundle. So you would be able to get a refund if the game was moved. The bundles aren't sold often , usually c/l group stages and are sold at a discount for a few tickets.

A bit covid heavy the literature (understandably given when it would have been released) but does seem to be the case under '2.2 General Cancellation Rights'.

2.2 General Cancellation Rights. Should the Purchaser wish to (i) cancel or (ii) offer on the MCFC Ticket Exchange one or more Ticket purchases it can do so in accordance with this clause subject to clause 2.5 provided that: a. a written request to cancel the Ticket(s) is submitted to the Club at least 7 days before the date of the Match (21 days’ notice required for Tickets that have been purchased as part of a large group booking (meaning bookings of 10 or more Tickets)) (using the Club contact details outlined in clause 8);

Buying individual tickets potentially 9 months in advance there needs to be some leniency to be honest.

There has been the 7 day policy for home and away tickets for as long as I can remember.

They even quoted the 7 day policy against Borussia Monchengladbach when it was rearranged at 20 hours notice, desperate not to refund anyone.

Travel is going to be a nightmare from Scotland this season. Transpennine are hopeless at the moment and hotel prices are through the roof as well.
I have given up on TPE. Even if it gets you there it will probably not get you back. I got the usual last train back to Edinburgh after a 3:00 pm Saturday start. The train arrived on time took us to Preston and then turfed us out because of ‘staff shortages’. After two hours (and two West Coast ML trains cancelled), we finally got into Glasgow Central. By the time we arrived at Queen Street, the last Edinburgh train had gone. We had to walk to the Bus Station and get a CitiLink night bus after another hour waiting. Eventually, we arrived in Edinburgh and got a taxi from Haymarket at around 3:30 am! Only five and a half hours late!

Now we always travel East Coast via Leeds. The price quoted is extortionate but it can be reduced by split ticketing.

For midweek games I have started using the megabus.
