Regarding allocation at Blackburn away

At the end of the day Blackburn want to make as much cash as possible from these games. This means that City will get the full allocation on the first day. If they give us 3000 then the attendance will probably be 5000 shy of a full house.

Yes out away support is not the best. But most of us are guilty of picking games, especially last year when lots of us went away to UEFA games as well. Cost of tickets and being able to watch games in the pub / internet has caused most teams problems with the numbers they take away.

Saying that, we would sell out that first game at Blackburn, and the aint gonna turn their noses up at selling 7000 full price tickets, or sell 3000 and have empty seats.

But carry on DJSpam, keep on slagging us off and bigging up Everton and Sunderland. Who do you support again ??
Another Rovers fan here, don,t panic yet re your allocation,I can definetly tell you that the 4 games have not yet been chosen, normally it would have been l/pool Everton man ure and your goodselves but with the dingles promotion for one season, it has thrown a spanner in the works,I think we will only sell one half of the Darwen end bottom tier to season tickets,so you would probably get all the top and half of the bottom tier, around 5000/5500 depending how many they knock off for segregation, or if they decide to curb the dingles allocation, the city game could be one of 4 games where they move the season ticket holders, and then you would get the full 8000,do you think you would sell them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope your right it will be shit if we only get that top tier. Always look forward to blackburn away. What i dont understand is why you would want to give burnley your local rival more tickets, just doesnt make sense that! surely you would want to make more noise then them but if they get 8k then they will easily be louder then you

Leylandrover, for someone who has 'come in peace' (rather than a BRFCS.co.uk forum windup??) you are you certainly talking a lot of uninformed and patronising garbage about our team and our prospects over the next couple of seasons, mainly due to your bitterness at being unable to accept that Hughes dared to leave you for a bigger club with a brighter future.

Thanks for letting us know about Stephen Ireland being a decent player. I don't think any of us had noticed.

Worse still you seem to be completely clueless about your own team.

Firstly the Darwen End Lower s/t's are £150 for 15 games, not £199, which is the Blackburn End and Riverside price. If you care to log on to OneRovers.co.uk you will see that currently less than 200 of these tickets have so far been sold, not 2600. Not surprisingly the whole idea of selling a 15 game s/t, missing out on the best 4 games, has gone down like a lead budgie. Based on these sales there is no way on earth that Rovers fans will sell out blocks S01 and S02, even if you add in individual match sales, so S03 and S04 will most likely stay reserved for away fans.

Secondly there has been no decision made about City's allocation by BRFC. The figure of 3100 you quote is the absolute minimum we will be allocated if we are not chosen as one of the 4 'full house' teams to get the full stand, and if the bottom tier is not split, as I'm thinking it will be. The 4 teams you claim have already been chosen are pure guesswork.

Finally, thanks for your ridiculous warnings about how impossible it would be to get a ticket in the Blackburn areas of the ground, and how we'll never see another City game again if we try. I doubt many will bother with that option anyway - it's not that big a game unless we sign Messi in the next few weeks - but if they wanted to then it would be an absolute piece of cake to get one for the Jack Walker Stand or Darwen End. Two sides of your ground may be virtually sold out, but the other two are virtually empty.

Sadly, althpugh the majority of your support talk sense, there those that are deluded through the smell of oily cash.

Do you seriously think City are capable of challenging the top 4 this season with Hughes at the helm ?

The stock answer (as well as sensible answer) is NO. You lot are way off the mark.

As hated as United are, you are 5 or 6 years away from knocking them off their perches.

Chelsea ? Have pure quality through the team and play like a team.

Arsenal ? best footballing team in the league by far.

Liverpool ? Will always be a major threat.

So where do City figure ? They have the stars, they have the ego's what they dont have is a "team" that plays as a "team".

Your best player is not robinhood, its not the proposed purchases of Santa Cruz, Eto, kaka, the harlem globetrotters or the bradford bulls, its young Ireland. Its players like him that will be the work ethic in your team.

City can offer no more than cash to any player for the next 4 years. You wont make the Champions League, you may make the Europa League and you may make a semi final or two.

Dont get me wrong, I would love to see City upset everyone and win every trophy going, its a dream we have lived at Ewood, of course on a much smaller scale. we have been there and done it, we have been there and WON it.

I have many City fans amongst my friends and it seems they all agree.

there are many good things associated with City but there are a many bad things as well. get it right and you will succeed.

heres hoping.

oh by the way, for the members slagging our crowds off, we are a town team club who have been there, done it and won it. YOU havent yet. So be it 23500 or 43000, our fan base has seen far more success in the past 20 years than you have, and if your club doesnt get it right, will ever see.

See you at Ewood.

You make a few good points.
But also some really silly ones.

So far as being "a town team club who have been there, done it and won it. "

One league win and a league cup win-that I applauded BTW-is about the only thing you can talk about in the last seventy years-let alone twenty..

If we're talking comparitive "history" you're going to be on a real loser, mate.

Come back when you've won a European trophy, for starters.

;-)

Robbie, were you alive when that happened ? No didnt think so. With Rovers, we won it fair and square, took on UNITED and BEAT THEM. We then won a cup final.

That is more success in 20 years than your club. The only comparison you can offer is your yoyoing up and down the leagues is it not ?

Without you sounding like a numb nuts, City have to learn to walk before they run. Buying 30 stars wont guarantee your club anything.

There is no jealousy about Hughes, he was always going to move on. There are not many Rovers fans who wouldnt wish him well its just that dealing with the calibre player your lot are linked to every day is different to what he had done at Ewood.

Any off to trot. Thanks for the £18m for Rocky Satnavalwaysinjured Cruz. One things for certain, he wont be missed at Ewood as he cried wolf when the going gets tough. I wonder if he thinks that fighting for a place on the bench when trousering the alleged £80k a week is worth it. Another things for sure he wont be number 9, he wont be guaranteed a start and with egos like Bellamy, robinhood and co its hard to see what City are trying to achieve with 8 strikers fighting for 2 slots. Someone is not going to be happy.

Finally, and until the eve of your usual defeat at Ewood, I wonder if your super rich owner is going to consider this one. Last season you spent almost £110m on a 7th spot finish (roundabout). This season already your looking at splurging a further £100m on players that again MIGHT see a 7th spot finish. I wonder if he will break the bank with another £100m PLUS spend in January when your NOT top 4 and then just to break the top 7 in the season after next a further £100m to jus to ensure Europa League football ?

Its going to be a costly exercise, because I reckon if we accept your annual splash bill as approx £125m, just getting to challenge the top 4 might just cost around £600m and even then it wont guarantee a top 4 spot.

The likes of E'to and co will have bled the cashflow dry and that is before you have won anything.

I totally accept that Blackburn have been more succesful than us in the last twenty years!!!!
But that's being rather "selective" isn't it?Why not go back a little further-like say,40 years?Different story then?

Look-Our history is simply far more "interesting" than yours for lots of reasons.
Face facts-We were bigger news in the third division than you when you were winning the Carling cup...City at it's lowest will always be bigger news, attract larger crowds and attention than "rorvrers" at their peak ever will.
And where we have Trautmann and Bell in our folklore-you have Noel Brotherston and Simon Garner...

Kennykins "bought" the league with Walker's money-as you alledge we're doing now.The only difference between then and now is the figures. You talk about the cashflow being "bled dry"-remind me what happened to your mob when old uncle Jack's ran out?
Not so much of a problem when your owners earn more in a day than uncle Jack's business did in a year.....;-)

But then I guess Shearer,Sutton,Sherwood etc. grew up dreaming about running to the DarwIn end and saluting the crumbling, half empty stands after scoring the winner?I somehow doubt it.

And so far as the "usual defeat at Ewok" is concerned-I wouldn't be too cocky this time arround.
Anyway-enjoy fatty's route one "spot the ball" aerial attack shite, admire the skill and grace of Samba, and "steel" yourselves for a lovely relegation battle.

And come back when you've won a European trophy.

I don't think many City fans think we will be top 4 next season. After 35 years in the shadow of the umnetionables, and a frequent spells in the lower Leagues, we are all enjoying the moments.

The comments about team-building are fair enough, but don't assume that players like Robinho are as selfish as the mediamak out. They might not always be effective away from home, but that's not down to work-rate, it's down to the balance of the team.

Hope you can stick around. It's interesting to talk to fans from other teams.

Truthfully do you like Allardyce? His football is effective, but I hate watching it. A real dilemma. Sammy Lee tried to play football after Allardyce left Bolton, and due tothe pressure for results Bolton had to sack him and bring back the long ball game.
