Remembrance Sunday Tribute (Sky Sports)

I was glad that players from both clubs were named and remembered but very disappointed that once again we did not mark the day with silence - the playing of the Last Post is not the silence - it marks the beginning of the silence. There is a very simple straight forward ceremony that is honoured in communities all over the country - that doesn't need fancy videos and inappropriate banners that reduces the wreath to the margins. It was the same last year and is not good enough

I have written to the club to complain

Yeah it was both strange and wrong imo.

Brilliant as always Gary,I know it would of been a labour of love for you to be involved in something like this, but still very poignant and uplifting.
If not already,City really should make you our official historian, can't wait for your next book.

It was the same last year - it is the way it is planned - and if they want to keep a silence after the Last Post then the crowd need to be told as there are too many there that won't otherwise be at a Remembrance Day event and know the correct format. It has nothing to do with being a derby as was proved with perfect silence for Munich 50 year anniversary

You are probably right. Though at old Trafford there was stewards stopping people coming in late. I am going to write to the club anyhow.
