Repercussions - From the PL, FA, UEFA and within the Club

Relegated to the Northern Premier League, £100M fine, forced to play at the Academy Stadium, and a £100/wk wage cap with a £20 win bonus!

That’ll teach us!

WTF?!

Everyone needs to FORGET REVENGE and heed the warning that has been sent.

Much as it pains me, the German Model of community control of clubs is a very important factor in the success of the German game.

Clearly, there can be no cap on commercial revenues, but TV revenues should be shared (1/20th per team) and ticket prices need addressing.

There clearly needs to be £20 ticket for away fans. There needs to be an increase in away fan ticket allocations. Wembley SFs & Finals need to provide more tickets to FANS and £20 limit.

This entire debacle has to help create a “FAN-CENTRIC” discussion of football in England.

Yes, the Premier League is the crown jewel in world club football when it comes to GLOBAL eyes on the game. However, as even the Chairman of the ESL stated on TV, the game is turning off the 18-24 year old fan who has better, cheaper, often significantly more convenient, weekend entertainment.

City have a chance here to reinvent what a Premier League club CAN BE to their community snd their fan base. That could start tomorrow, with a significant reduction in SeasonCard costs, the most expeditious and efficient introduction of Safe Standing, and the expansion of the South Stand to create a “BLUE WALL” for standing fans.

We have an opportunity here. Let’s hope our ownership leverages it correctly for FANS.
The German model of community control of clubs ? So good that Bayern get the lion's share of cash and have won their version of the Prem 30-odd times. Yeah, good model that.

We should accept any punishment, as we deserve it.

the Spanish boys or khaldoon should resign

As a long standing City fan, I would never refer to our management as “the Spanish boys”. You can’t have lost every shred of respect in just 48 hours & write off 13 years of great hard work and success by the same people.
I sincerely hope you & yours never make a mistake

Worse still one of them only deals with player and staff contracts, not dealings about sporting policy.

Yes I see Keir Starmer has been going about the 50 plus one rule. The rule which has destroyed the Bundesliga for everyone except Bayern and its client club Dortmund. Bayern have total control of football in Germany. It is a disgrace and most German fans despise them.

For what? The US-owned clubs have been talking about setting up super leagues for years. Nothing happened to them. And Ceferin will be delighted by the turn of events as he's been desperate to shake off the stranglehold that a small number of clubs had over UEFA including some of those were involved in this. Some weren't, but that won't save them.
We got fined for coming out a minute late for the second half in a Champions League game - and you don't think we'll get fined for this ?

I thought the CAS case was the messiest saga we'd ever face, this might just top it. When the dust settles and the ESL disbands officially, we could be facing sanctions along with the 12 that signed up. Would you agree this could be likely?

Points deduction from league
Suspended season from CL

Now for the more difficult conversation - should someone be held to account in our club - I assume Khaldoon is the man that will be in the firing line. Should he step aside?

give over. Points deductions?! On what basis?

This is actually resembling a Barca-alumni plot TBH.

Laporta look like they were all in, then just casually dropped that, "well, of course, that only stands if the fans vote for it". Which was never, ever, going to happen.

No way we'll get fined. None. Zip. UEFA taking money from clubs for political stuff is a very bad idea. Regardless of City playing their white knight today, none of the clubs should be fined. Ever again.

Don't look for clubs to be punished directly. Look for the competition to become stronger. No more anti-competitive nonsense.

I’m interested in the power shift within Uefa after this. Which teams had directors involved on uefa boards? They all resigned right? Who takes their place? Will we have anyone there now?
