His research obviously missing out who enabled the super league all the way back in 1992. Yes, the self proclaimed people’s club.

Everton's involvement goes back 10 years before the PL when the same group threatened a breakaway to end the gate money sharing agreement whereby the visiting club got 25% of the matchday revenue.

That doesn't sound much but look at who won the league before 1982 and then who won it after. You can see the difference that adjustment made

Because they are desperate.Perez saying football will be dead without ESL is stupid. What he actually means is that Real Madrid are skint and will have no money by 2024. The chicKen’s are coming home to roost and he can see it, they have spent and borrowed too much for too long.

Re "Consulted with the fans" I believe I was consulted with.

I remember one of those City surveys a while ago asking about Champions League. Don't remember the exact wording but it was asking about whether I'd prefer if the group games were against the likes of Barca, Madrid, BM, etc. and would that mean I was more likely to attend. My answer was "no" anyway as it's the midweek evening that's the main reason.

I believe that this survey and other similar surveys inform the marketing guys and indicate what we will and will not support.
Who knows what the conclusions from the response was?
"75% of supporters are more likely to attend a game against Barca compared to Shaktar" or similar.

If we went anywhere near this we'd be like Turkeys voting for Xmas, all this will do is support the history clubs nobody else, after years of being promoted by the world media to gain a huge WW fanbase they'll have the same advantage as Bayern Munich do in the German league.

Funny how they never pushed any of this when they were top Dogs ehh?
