Replacement for Joe Hart?

It isn't though is it? it's a temporary solution while Joe goes off to learn his trade, gain experience and hopefully get in the England squad. Then he will come back even better.

It's a replacement insofar as being an understudy for Given. I know Hart's on loan.

I was hoping that our aspirations were a bit higher now though. Top clubs have hardly ever been falling over themselves to sign Kenny and whilst he's a good shot stopper he isn't the most mobile. Harper is a good shout if Schmeichel is looking elsewhere.

Theres no chance Harper will come,he has to get the splinters out of his arse first,and has waited an age for his chance up there..mind you if they are rock bottom(fingers crossed) at xmas he mite be farmed out in January !!!

Kasper has made enough noise about him needing first team football and who can blame him? I guess the tricky thing is finding a keeper who is happy to be an understudy with very little chance of a game...mind you 20/30k a week might go some way in making the decision a little easier.

Kiely walked out on ireland recently cause shay wanted to start instead of him (he is looking to set irish caps record) Trapatoni had promised kiely some game time but after shay stepped in he went back on his word so kiely walked.personally i dont think himself and shay could work that well together now. he is faily past it at this stage anyway and played feck all games last season due to injury
