Replacements for Mario and Tevez

Wasn't Higuain's best season at Real Madrid when Pellie was coach ? The 2 have previous so it wouldn't surprise me if we were to nick him :)

Now that Tevez is off.. Surely Dzeko will be staying right?

Will we go with 3 strikers or 4? Who will be brought in to add to Sergio and Dzeko?

Top strikers still available in the market:

- Cavani: we have reportedly dropped interest. He seems headed to Chelsea.
- Suarez: wants to leave England, wants Madrid
- Lewandowski: wants BayernMunich, apparently turned us down already
- Higuain: Arsenal bound
- Rooney: Rags won't sell to us
- El Sharaawy: ?

Why does it have a to be a 40 Miilion pound striker - surely to fucking good if Plop pool can dig out suarez for 20 our scoutung system can find similar

How about Benteke?

Wouldn't be surprised if we move for Higuian, had a good season under Pellegrini at Madrid, though I couldn't stand the backlash from suicidal gooners!

Well, The S*n seems to think we're still after Lewandowski and say he could replace Tevez 'if we can convince the Pole to join us'. But better papers than The S*n have already said Lewandowski has "SNUBBED" us as he is fixed on joining Bayern Rags.

would be amazing if we could change his mind, one of the most complete strikers in the world. 30m+ for him no problem in my eyes

Jackson Martinez to replace Ballo and Bale to replace Tevez with Nasri moved in the center..

Sergio Aguero plus one other striker.

Reus looks unlikely but you never know. Pelle is keen on him and with Tevez wages off the wage bill, we can most probably afford him. Dortmund don't want to sell but if we really want him, he may just come here. IMO, the perfect player for us. In terms of age, position and ability. We are no longer a small club and we need to have the mentality that we can get class players like Madrid have.
The facts are we haven't yet attracted a big name without circumstances helping us out, Silva went where he was told for the sake of his former club, Aguero went to who could afford him and not to Real because of Madrid's cross town thing, Balotelli was a problem child and Yaya came because we offered the most humongous wage anyone had ever seen and Tevez had the 3rd party ownership palava going on.
The problem we're having is not new, we were lucky in these transfers, we don't have the pulling power of others, CL will help in the future if we can do better.

Why do people keep going on about moving Nasri to the centre? He's a poor man's David Silva as has been shown when Silva was injured and he got a chance in the centre. Was he any good? No he was his usual under-performing self, slowing the game down even more. A few decent games when he feels like it is not good enough for a regular place, especially when a public bollocking seems to suddenly produce some form from nowhere. His attitude stinks and if Pellegrini can't drag him out of that mindset by Xmas we should offload him.

We need to be realistic... we need a better attacking threat than we offered last year.

We probably need two decent strikers - I think lofty hopes around Suarez and Cavani can be forgotten. We are in Plan B and Plan C territory already but that doesn't mean there are not the right strikers out there who can do the right job for us. Look at FC Bayern.

I hope we have been working on more than Isco and Cavani because with a new manager etc... we need to hit the ground running - so bringing in players before August would be beneficial.
