Replacing Hughes Now

We've got to give him time now.No manager guarantees sucess whoever he is or where hes been.Could Hiddink or Scolari or Marinho buy the right players and if they came it all went wrong after 5 months do we change again. Let's get some continuity at the club and build a solid base now we've been given the chance.I for one would love instant sucess but its not going to happen, another couple seasons wont make any difference so be patient it will come
and then it will be here for a long time.

Who needs a manager why don't we let the fans do the job online each week we would win everything.....................

not

you make a funny joke.....I like

The trouble is when do we start the merry go round again, as soon as a manager has a bad run (no matter who) I have my doubts about Hughes as do many but I am not sure constantly changing managers is the answer, I guess he has got 3 games left to prove he is up to it.

The next problem is who? I know loads will say the special one, but realisticley is he going to pack in at Inter to come to us I very much doubt it.

I wouldnt mind betting that Hughes transfers have been researched, organised and financially planned. He bought well at Blackburn, if we sack him now first we will have to get in a quality manager...not easy to find, then we will have to compile a transfer list, then we will have to sound them out, then we will have to try to approach clubs, all in the space of a month and a half...we would be at the mercy of agents and would end up panic buying, meanwhile hughes would go to Sunderland keep them up and would take them into Europe the following season. Just for once....why dont city fans GET REAL. Give the bloke a chance, cut him some slack and a few years down the line when HE is in charge. we will start to challenge. He has a proven terrific record. He needs to stamp his mark on the team, learn how to manager huge name players and he will move forward. City's fans need to learn patience, learn great teams are not made over night and learn that sacking managers willy nilly has not served us well over the years!!!!

look at sunderland, last week their player played with confidence as soon as keane was sacked. spuds have been on an amazing run since they got rid of ramos, even newcastle imporved drastically when they appointed somebody who the players believed in.

Very short term thinking

if you support a team without lots of money. we've got fucking shit loads of the stuff so get the right man at whatever the cost coz thinking long term...we're heading into a relegation dog fight with that clueless muppet.

a close family friend used to work for City. i'm not saying what he did just to protect him- but he was as 'in' with a team as you could be without being a player or coach. he retired, remained very close to the club and was always welcomed there (until thaksin came in and changed it all and treated him appalingly). he rarely goes back but at a recent game another colleague who is still there said - and i'm repeating what he told me last night over the phone and he's a gentle, dignified man who wouldn't speak ill of anyone- well, this bloke said to him' I tell you what ******, we've seen many managers come and go over the last 30 years but this one is by far the worst'. said he had a horrible manner- got other people to do his 'tellings off' and he was spineless and no man management skills.

don't shoot the messenger. my friend would not lie. he's a bloke in his 70's with a passion for City and like i say he was very well regarded at the club for many years. he's on lots of team photos and videos etc.

but Hughes does not sound like the type of mananger to take us forward. nor does he perform like it.

Can we get the right man whatever the cost right now though? The right man for me is Mourinho, but he wouldn't come right now. I saw an interview with him yesterday on SSN and he was creaming his pants at the thought of coming back to the prem. He won't go to Chelsea cos of roman, the rags have bacon face, liverpool don't look like sacking Rafa, ditto Arsenal with Wenger. We are the likeliest option IMO.

I think we could swipe Mourinho at the end of the season
