A cynic would suggest they wanted to do the money grab as quickly as possible.
Plenty of people can't or won't be arsed for a TV game and the club have it all ends up, they will only issue refunds if you first come off the Cup scheme.

I got this also after I booked the tkts, I don't recall anything warning me of the possible date change before I'd paid tho? Doesn't effect me as weds better than Tuesday but not the point...Email confirmation @ 11am yesterday was:
Manchester City will play Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup round 5 replay on Tuesday 28th February 2017, kick off 8pm at the Etihad Stadium (subject to TV selection*).
*Fixture date and kick off time subject to change, confirmation will be made on Tuesday 21st February

Are you in the Cup Scheme? When I bought tickets all the level 3 areas were greyed out, and they are now when I checked.

I got an email this morning confirming my ticket for the game, the date on the confirmation says 28th February 2017 at 8pm.Email confirmation @ 11am yesterday was:
